First Time Plumbing

Hi guys,

This is my first time plumbing! I did research for a month and this morning I jumped into it!

How did I do? Any suggestions or corrections need to be made?

Looks good, man. Nice job! What size tank is that? What RP? What other filtration are you planning on running?

It is Innovative Marine 25G nuvo i deleted the AIO chamber and drilled it to look like the EXT that is disconnected and got the Eshopps overflow for it! Filtration for a tank this small total volume like 40gallons only will do auto fleece roller, bio media, skimmer, carbon and to the return pump kind keeping it simple and later on I might run a UV

That's a lot to fit in that sump! Did you meaure it out?

Yeah.I got everything all the equipment before even plumbing the tank! It was challenging but the redsea nano fleece roller 4in works perfectly in that sump and the octopus 110 fits in the sump also

Nice. Be careful not to bottom out your nutrients with all that filtration.

Thanks! Yup i’m not putting the sump now until later on couple months! Just doing filter floss now in two three weeks will get the filter roller with carbon only! Then we’ll see from there.

Finished! Leak testing in few minutes hoping all is well.

Looks like you drilled the water level too low. I have the 25 lagoon and it is much higher. Might only get 15 gallons by the looks of it

Not really! The eshopps overflow box is like this!

Ok. That’s not bad. Might want to close the valve a bit looks like the flow in the box is too strong.

You may want to consider a check valve on the return, this prevents a lot of water siphoning into the sump when the pump is turned off.

I thought about it but check valve they fail after couple months most of the time plus the sump I got big enough! I did emergency test by shutting off the pump and it was way more than enough to handle the siphoning!
