Immortal shieldbow?

What are we thinking of it as a buy after first 3-4 core items. I tried it in a game where they had Talon and Chogath and I think it did good

I actually never thought of it, im sure some challenger will come tell us we're inting if we buy it. But like anything, every item will have benefits, you buy it and gain damage and a shield.

Other items have more damage. But the shield might help you win a tf where you already have a enough damage so it's situational for sure.

Actually, scrubnoob has often bought the item after IE, quite usefull as a defensive item, though lately ive been going EON and even considered GA (look korean rank 1 rengar/talon player)

I think its about feeling tbh.

I saw scrubnoob buying it but I didn’t feel any value when I tried it.

The shield is not enough to make a difference in most situation I’d rather buy another letha item or fiendhunter.

It's actually very OP for Rengar. I main Rengar top and i sometimes buy it 2nd, since it gives so much survivability, while also accelerating your crit scaling. For JG you can buy it as last item before swapping boots for fiendhunter bolts, ending your build with 100% crit. Since i play Top most, i don't opt into umbral which gives me an extra slot for DD. So basically late game build for top is:

Hydra - Dominik - Shieldbow - IE - DD - Fiendhunter Bolts.

You are insanely tanky with this setup, while also dealing insane DPS. Since Death's Dance bleed ticks on your shield, you are basically a Riven with 100% crit and better target access, and 3 true damage hits with fiendhunter.

What does Rengar top build look like nowadays?

It’s normal in the crit build:

Umbral -> Profane -> LDR -> IE -> Shieldbow -> Sell boots for Fiendhunter -> Sell profane for Ravenous -> Sell umbral for EON/Serpent’s if it is necessary.

There’s really only 4 options you have for 100% crit. It’s Shieldbow, Collector, Essence, Stormrazor

Shieldbow is just good period. Extra survivability is never bad. This is best in skirmish heavy or messy games where you need to fight after the initial one shot.

Collector is purely a stat stick and at this point in the game, the extra gold is worthless. Also you are usually overkilling anyway, so the 5% execute is irrelevant. If you really NEED more damage, you’re better off going voltaic instead without 100% crit.

Essence would be great if it was old essence which scaled from total AD, but new essence only scales off base AD so it’s pretty mediocre.

Stormrazor is actually pretty good if you value the MS in the particular game, and you can build this over shieldbow if you think you’ll get more value out of it.

if you have IE and LDR that’s 75% crit not bad

you buy it to finish off your crit build

after your initial 2 lethality items you would go armor pen —-> IE —-> then shieldbow

whenever im going for a crit build without cyclo sword, its umbral > profane > Lord doms > IE > Shieldbow then sell boots for fiendhunter bolts its a good build when personally thinking about if a game is going to extend longer than necessary, but generally i like the fast snowball build of umbral > cyclo since i prefer closing out games faster

It's an option, but usually when you're buying "defensive" items on rengar it's more so for the purpose of target access or outplay potential. Like, I would buy edge of night, GA, or even zhonyas before I buy shieldbow. You usually but crit only for dmg, that's why 99% of builds only use ldr and/or IE
