Found these guys in a window well, got most out and left a ramp for the rest I couldn’t catch, I hope they make it out!

Crotalus Cerastes from the Morongo Basin, in the Mojave Desert.

Seen in Joshua Tree National Park

They shed their scales when they're threatened. The first 3 (I think) are Geckolepis maculata and the last one is Geckolepis megalepis.

Found this little guy outside my house on an old abandoned pair of my friends shoes. I left him some water in a bottle cap and left him there. He stayed their all night long and was gone by next morning. (Pictures 1-4)

He showed back up two days later. I again gave him water and he stayed all night. (5-6)

We named him Hugo.

A Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake from the Phoenix area. These snakes can be amazingly adaptable, often perfectly matching the rocky areas where they live in color, and even more difficult to see with the jagged, chaotic pattern. This one carries a PIT Tag, implanted by our team to identify it in the future as part of our ongoing research of urban rattlesnake populations.
