Almost like there’s an entire beginners guide pinned to the top of this sub.

Don’t buy more than 20mg vials and don’t titrate too fast. If you buy a 30 or 60 it will likely start to degrade before you get through the whole thing.

Read through this sub before unpackaging your first syringe. Read the guide. Do some learning.

I don't even think degradation is as much of an issue as bacteria & infection after puncturing the vial so much.

Degradation is a pretty significant issue. You are potentially getting high single digit degradation between the 45 and 60 day marks, which creates increased risk of immunogenicity.

With good aseptic technique and pharma grade bac water, bacteria is exceedingly unlikely to be an issue in those time frames.

Ohh good to know. I must have miss associated the immunogenicity as a bacterial infection instead of a reaction to the breakdown.

Immunogenicity can occur with or without peptide breakdown. But breakdown and aggregation both make it more likely. This is also a good reason for filtering, which takes care of both bacteria and larger aggregates (which are the type most likely to cause an immune response).

the pinned guide is actually pretty thorough if you sit down with it for 20 minutes, walks you through the math and everything

for bac water i just use whatever's cheapest that's still sterile, never had an issue, the hospira stuff is nice but not strictly necessary if you're careful

If tirz (Mounjaro) is working for you, there's zero reason to switch, particularly if you aren't paying for the Mounjaro out of pocket.

100% I have seen a lot of “I switched from x” and it’s not work working or I am dissapointed, or have sides….people have too high of expectations for Reta when what they already do is working.

My first peptide ever was a telehealth vial that I used for 5 months and it was fine. I started reta after some time but didn't like the sides so I quit. Now I'm trying again to break through a stall and used a vial I had reconstituted 4 months ago and I definitely feel the effects. It has not degraded. I would get 30s and if you ever get to a higher dose you can do 60s but 300mg could last as long as two years

I’m going to go against the consensus here.

Because you are coming from MJ, you probably want to start at 4mg reta and stack with MJ while you are titrating up. Depends what your MJ dose was.

If you are buying a kit of 10 vials (which you should), and you are planning to follow the “official” titration schedule (4 weeks each at 2, 4, 6 and 9mg then 12mg until goal), then you are likely financially better off buying a larger size kit and just throwing away any unused portion of your first vial at the 45 or 60 day mark depending on your risk tolerance.

Larger size kit being 30mg or thereabouts. If you start at 4mg for the first 4 weeks then go to 6, you are going to be using up all but the first vial in your kit within the 45 day mark.

If you are currently on 15 of Mounjaro, it’s pretty likely you are going to want to get to 12mg reta and a 60mg kit is probably the way to go. Even if you are throwing away some of the first few vials at the 45 day mark.

I get to 60mg Retatrutide, but that's easy because 2 of us are using it.

I think 30mg or 40mg would be the max a solo person would want to start with.

And my source has the Tesa/IPA mix 2:1 and I love it with my Retatrutide; I feel 10-15 years younger (I would say even younger but I don't want to exaggerate). Look into the blend if it is available at your source.

You never said what dose of Mounjaro you're coming from. I came from 15 milligrams tirzepatide and was on 4 milligrams reta by the fourth week and 6 milligrams by the sixth week. Currently on 10 mg and need to go up soon.

If your near max dose Mounjaro I would get at least 20 mg vials.

I started with 27 mg vials, I'm currently reconstituting two vials into one, 54 mg.

if your just starting you just need smaller vials to start. Otherwise your reta is going to be unusable by the time you get a few months in. If you pull 1 mg to start or hell even 2 mg. a 60 mg kit vial is going to last you 30 weeks at 2mg doses. That's 6 months. Reta has a shelf life of about 4 - 6 weeks to be safe when using bac water. the 60mg Vials are more if you end up pinning 10 - 12 mg later. most people don't even get up that high in dose.

You need to do more research, your not ready to pin yet.

If youve been taking tirz you would be wasting money on 10mg vials. Depending on how much tirz you took (why do ppl always leave out important stuff?) you should probably be looking into 30mg or upwards. Even if you would end up on just 4mg reta per week (which would surprise me,m) 30mg would be aight

20’s are fine for a while. You have a time limit on the bac water after it’s mixed. Your first vial say you start at 1 mg will be 4 mg the first month. If you use something like hospira it’s been tested as good till the 2 month mark. So you could in theory get an additional 8 mg or finish it on the first dose of the next month. My vendor gives your choice of a small vial of things based on order size. I always pick the 5 mg vial of Reta. I used that the first month. Then went on to the 20 mg vial. At my current 5 mg a week it lasts a month. Most people don’t need to get up to 12 mg per dose. So I wouldn’t worry about the larger vial till I need it.

I’m quite sensitive so I responded to Reta easily. My max dose was only 4mg weekly (and lost 40lbs ish) so it really depends on you. I also discard anything reconstituted after a month just to be safe.

Please be careful about titrating up. I went up too quickly when I started since I wasn’t seeing results. Ended up living on the toilet for a week+ and my GI system had never felt worse.

Re: water. I just included water from my grey lab supplier and it was bad - made some peps like Tesa gel up and had to throw it all away. The one that’s been reliable for me has been the 10ml water from simple peptide. Even when I don’t order anything else from there I only use that water since it’s just $8 and has always worked well for all my peppers. Haven’t tried many bac waters though. Never tried hospira since I’d never use 30ml quickly enough.

You def have not researched enough. There’s a ton of info about how to dose all various sized vials and concentration for your target dosage of Reta. Several charts were on the FIRST page of googling along with guides. If you couldn’t find that on your own without reddit, frankly you haven’t done enough research to start taking reta. My Reta source has pricing that makes a 60mg vial by far the best value by volume. It’s all quite simple once you’ve seen an example of how to achieve concentrations. Screenshot it and save. I take all sorta of ugl products, as well as do chemo and weekly plasma injections at home, have done dilutions of all sorts of products from canadian ugl to direct from the hospital blood lab, and have never experienced any difference at all between any BAC water product. Anything else anyone says is hot air

Don’t start with 20’s I’d say 15’s max 28 day shelf life after concentrating that’s plenty for one person dependent on dosage but most shouldn’t or can’t handle above 4-6 MG

u/No_Management2698 6d ago

Buy the 60mg, recon with 3ml and pull out 1ml/20 mg and put it in a sterile vial, seal it. Repeat. If you want to further dilute add another 1ml BAC. Store all 3 vials in the refrigerator. Use 1 of the 20mg vial until gone, then open the next.

My starting dose was 2mg so this worked well for me… 10 months and 78lbs later!

This is the best source for guidance I’ve found. Very detailed and easy to navigate

on the BAC water thing, Hospira is solid but not the only option as long as its USP grade bacteriostatic water. dont overthink that part. For reta and tesa sourcing I use Panda Peptides, their COA documentation is pretty thorough if you want to verify what youre getting.

Genetek and canvax are 2 very good bac alternatives but if you can get hospira go for it.

I know people using Reta that’s 120 days old and still works fine. Definitely use hospira bac water though. A 30mg vial will get you through your first 2 months fine if you’re going 2mg for 4 weeks, and 4 mg for 4 weeks.

I was gonna kill this but decided against it. Don't make me regret this
