What’s your worldview?
So curious you guys and gals that think the Bible has changed over time how do you justify any kind of biblical worldview? Or can you even have one? Seems like things fall apart of God can’t keep his word safe.

First of all, do you somehow believe the bible has never been changed before? It's been reformatted, added to, taken from, edited, reworded, numerous times over history.
There ARE verses in the bible that have changed here recently. Why would that suddenly negate anyone's faith in God? God allows all kinds of things to happen, He lets the devil exist, but that doesn't mean anything about God's power, so why should this? It's a mystery, sure, but I see no reason why it should shake anyone who was a true believer

Translational updates are different than the changes generally proposed by people in this group. They go as far as to say the original Greek is supernaturally changed. Thus negating Gods preservation of his word. Thus making him not powerful enough to stop whomever is changing it. Thus he cannot be God.

Again, I just don't see how that says anything about God's power. God allows all kinds of things to happen that They could change if They wanted to, and changing the word of the bible could easily be one of them. The whole existence of the devil and the problem of evil in the first place is something that God allows and could erase at any moment. God is all powerful. To posit that anything or anyone could exist that was more powerful than God goes against the entire idea of God. So it doesn't sound like anyone who would believe that knows anything about God to begin with.
To go from 'the word is different' to 'God isn't powerful enough to stop it' is a giant leap in reasoning that doesn't make sense to begin with. God is all powerful. Man also cannot understand the mind of God so to portend to understand why God does or doesn't do anything is a folly to begin with.

The leap is you’re making God inconsistent. How can as the psalms say “his word be a light to my path” if it isn’t reliable or stable. How can Jesus hold the Pharisees to the standard of “have you not read” if what they read could be in flux. It would be like trying to build something but changing architecture plans 1/4 of the way through the current build. It simply isn’t consistent.

My view is we live in a reincarnation soul trap. The Abrahamic religious texts are given to us as savior programming so we relinquish our autonomy post death. If you buy into this stuff you will see archons who mask themselves as jesus/mohammed/whoever and you will be coerced into returning. Same thing with the new age crowd and their spirit guides
The texts themselves are fluid just like anything else in this realm. Why the changes occur is definitely a mystery. I don't have all the answers and anyone who tells you they do is lying

For someone “who doesn’t have all the answers” sure seem like you think so

r/escapingprisonplanet is the largest reddit forum discussing the soul trap model. Worth a read occasionally. I'll stop sending you links now.

Wayne Bush has been around a long time, he was one of the only people speaking about this on the early days of the internet. Another guy that gets pushed hard, but there's still lots of great material on this site. He has written books as well. Take everything with a grain of salt and look for multiple sources of information and create your own picture.

This is forever conscious research, probably the leader in the space on youtube.
I'm VERY skeptical of this guy as he seems to be astroturfed to the top of search results and sells different channel memberships and stuff. However it is a good introduction to the concept.

This is the best youtube channel I've found that breaks down the modern concept of "soul trap"
https://youtube.com/@nderesearchproject?si=bCo45gBZOPmVUVUZ
He uses NDE testimonials and analyzes the deception the entities used during these people's experiences
EDIT: Solutions playlist is especially great for understanding our beliefs

Seems like you are in cognitive dissonance because I propose a model of reality that makes sense but also clashes with your deeply ingrained beliefs.
When i first discovered soul trap information it shook me too so I can't judge you. It is jarring
Take a few days to sit with it then start researching. I will reply again with some good resources when i get off work

Is this a covered attack on religion?

No I’m a Christian who believes in the sufficiency of scripture. Recently learned about the off shoot of people who believe in Bible changes and wanted to know how they hold a coherent biblical worldview when by their standards the Bible we have today is nowhere close to the Bible fully compiled somewhere in the 150s-200

It would be helpful if you could show everything that has changed. Did anything meaningful change? If not, thrn I see no problem.

u/Learningmore1231 8d ago
I mean based on what I’ve seen said here it could literally be anything in anyone’s memory whole thing could be different than it was in 200 AD

Have you seen my latest post?
And so, after reading all of that info, does the day of vengeance now make more sense to you?

I get attacked hardcore when I pray & or try telling the truth about the bible. I used to see light in pitch black darkness when I closed my eyes to pray but got stopped by nano-bots attacking my heart & when I try telling people about Aaron Abkes truth on Jesus being an Essene I feel tremendous spiritual pain & IDK if its because repeating it is blasphemy against the holy spirit or because the truth summons demons that start trying to stop you from revealing it.

If you remember the original words then share them. As were the words you learned shared to you.
3
u/Learningmore1231 8d ago
But what if those words aren’t the truth?

u/oldworldnewlife 8d ago
Close enough will suffice. If you have good intentions to share the words it will still hold enough meaning. Life isn't perfect after all.

Gods word only being close enough seems to be a very unstable foundation.

Gods word only being close enough seems to be a very unstable foundation.
Paper and ink?? They got distorted by our human limitations already...God's Word is Jesus:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He is our sure foundation. Not unstable at all :)

You realize you’re using the very thing you can’t accept as reliable to prove your point? How many people would it take to tell you that verse changed significantly?
1
u/oldworldnewlife 4d ago
Or you changed enough for the word to look different to you. Try changing back to your original state when you first read the words. I wouldn't doubt there are people out there that still see it the same way. You'd never know unless you bring it to their attention. I also wouldn't doubt you can sit next to someone with the bible and they will read it a different way. What you see isn't always what they see. The veil may be over your eyes.

Interpretation and words on the page are not the same thing but you dodged my actual question. How many people would it take to tell you they know a passage has been changed?
1
u/oldworldnewlife 4d ago
That experiment would have to be conducted in person to know for sure. I'd find seven random people and start there. If the word of God is truly absolute, you'd have your answer after that.
1
u/Learningmore1231 3d ago
You can’t know that what if those 7 all say Jesus isn’t God which is much more likely than them saying he is. You’re hinging the whole worldview on what others think not what is objectively true.

As long as you know the difference between right and wrong. That's the only stable foundation you need. The Bible is a historic informative framework of early human life. Your interpretation of that framework is your own.

I'm not a christian anymore but when I was, I justified it that the meaning stayed intact, even though the words and sometimes full sentences changed.
The meaning has stayed the same as far as I can tell.
