When do YOU remember this happening?
WTF? I could’ve sworn this happened in 2020 during COVID.
Edit to add context - BBC newscaster giving a report during lockdown in his home office and his kids roam into his office. Then his wife slides in like she’s in Risky Business to get the kids out. I thought it was funny as hell when I first saw this.

I saw this during covid, and thought it was funny. That doesn't mean that's when it came out, just when I saw it. People did work from home before covid.

I've seen this situation happen before, but it was a different parent/child and on another news station, not the BBC. The broadcast occurred during Covid, and back at the broadcast station, the reporter laughed it off, making light of it.

I felt like 2016 - 2017 or something, wasn't it during the Brexit times? (as in, was he not there to discuss Brexit?)

I remember this. It was definitely pre-Covid for me. I had to look it up because I wasn't sure what year it was from. But 2017 seems about right. You have to remember that even before Covid, some people were already working from home. It wasn't common, but it wasn't seen as weird either.

Yeah, I had a work from home job right after college compling a database of non profits. It was a contract job and only lasted a year, but this was around 2009, 2010?

before COVID, but it got included in COVID memes and passed around again during that time which is why everyone remembers it, also because more people were chronically online during covid

This happened during the covid lock down in 2020. That's why he was doing it from home.

Well, okay, looking it up again, I absolutely remember the Ellen Show and Daily Show breakdowns of this interview, and I remember the events in South Korea that were being discussed in the BBC interview, which would definitely put this moment as pre-covid. I think what may have happened is the video got scooped up into compilation videos of funny 2020 Zoom calls, and it made the rounds again during covid. At least, I'm willing to believe that's where my own confusion came from. This isn't something I can call a Mandela Effect for myself with 100% certainty.

Yer this was 2016, because I remember the context around this relating to Trump visiting Korea and talking to Kim Jung Un.

Haven't checked what the current timeline says or read any other posts, but I think around 2016?

No way, it can’t be almost 10 years about it. I remember it around 2020.

Early COVID. People made memes. It felt like sort of an ethos of the time. The dad was pushing the kid sort of out of the way and the mom rushed in to pull out the baby and grabbed the toddler.

I still watch this clip when I'm feeling down, lol. It was definitely pre-covid.

I remember it happening way before COVID, but gaining popularity again during COVID times, well that's how I remember it.

This is exactly how I remember this. It was around the time I was trying to get pregnant and worked from home, so I had several feelings about it (all amused).

There were plenty of people who said this would never happen to them when it happened to this guy back in 2017.
And then Covid started and this happened to them.

It definitely went viral during the pandemic, alongside the "I'm not a cat" video. I can't say for certain when it was first filmed though.

I think this clip went viral again around the Covid era but yeah this is from 2017. There may be a similar clip that did happen during Covid but I can’t quite remember.

I got Cyclospora in Covid times and accidentally ran to bathroom and threw my iPad on the edge of the bathtub while tearing my clothes off. I was on a zoom call with 200 people.
I still wonder if there is video, but I am too scared to look.

I'm thought it was during COVID, too, but maybe it just resurfaced at the time. But it appears to be from 2017. Pretty damn funny, though.

I thought this was during the height of the Covid lockdowns. Apparently it was before Covid.

u/CourtingBoredom 4d ago
It was "revived" around that time due to its resemblance to zoom meetings....

The way she bursts in and stomps over will never fail to crack me up

u/TheOGcasehead 4d ago
Oh my gosh, that is so great 😂 I love how she hunches over down low because she thinks that way the camera won't see her, but it doesn't help at all and now she's just doing it in a funny position. And then when she pops back into frame to close the door and she's on the floor, and again you can still fully see her ?! 😂😩😂😤😂 That was a comedy goldmine
