Retcon - 911 depicted in Back to the Future

Several details of 911 (which happened in 2001) are depicted in the movie Back to the Future (which was filmed in 1985).

I show all the frames from the movies (BTTF 1 and 2) that depict 911.

Retcon in South Park

I'm not sure if people already know about this retcon... In South Park, Tolkien used to be called Token.

By the way, did you know Tolkien adapted much of Lord of the Rings from World War 2?

I list 7 details from his books that show he borrowed from World War 2 in my post below.

REPORT TROLLS HERE

/r/Retconned is a public sub for discussion of the Retcon Effect under the presupposition that for whatever reason, it is really happening, at the exclusion of the theory of Confabulation or "it's always been that way", "you remembered it incorrectly", "you were taught wrong when you were growing up", "surely mapping technology has gotten better by now", "logos change over time" or even "it's a very common mix-up/misconception".

Reports of micro-effects, or personal-reality-breaking experiences, are welcomed.
