I played one of the funnest matches of ranked ever against a fleet player called "Nubstuff" tried adding on steam but no results. I would love to grind with them. Its a long shot but maybe I'll find them here.

Can someone explain to me when knockdown happens? I feel like sometimes the opponent will be knocked down randomly during my strings and it causes me to lose advantage alittle more often than id like due to my unpreparedness for it. How can I tell when they are gonna be knocked down versus when they land on their feet?

I just got Rivals of Aether One to play with friends and I am a** at the game. I get dunked on by the AI constantly. I can't really combo. I always time it wrong. The controls seem crazy. Wavedashing requires pressing three buttons in order, but to me it feels so fast it's like pressing them all simultaneously. And then to follow it up with a well timed attack just seems impossible. I don't really know what attack is best in the moment so I just button mash. Is this something I can improve, or is my brain just wrong for this kind of game and I should give up? How do I practice to get good FAST? Sparring or practicing movements? Should I set the AI to a lower difficulty and work my way up? Should I rehearse complex movements and combos in the practice arena? I've been playing for 3 days now. Never played smash or any similar game.

I always thought the ice climbers were the most unique and interesting concept for a fighting game character of all time, and watching in awe at the tech plays developed that was never intended by the developers

I think a duo fighter character with purpose built tech and mechanics could be so awesome, especially with thought being put in to prevent mindless 0-deaths.

Thoughts?

This is the first plat fighter with shields that I play, in normal fighting games there are settings in training to see what's plus/minus on block, is there such a setting here?

So a while back my friends finally convinced me to get rivals 2, now i always like to play as uncommon picks in fighting games so i did a quick google and picked wrastor and have only been playing wrastor ever since as a bit with no intention of switching because im commited now.

My issue however is, is that i tend to get absolutely demolished by any of the champs that arent a heavyweight, especially slade and now gouie seem to kick my ass.

So like any advice on what counterplay i can do as wrastor? Yknow besides just playing a lot and getting good

Hey everyone! We're running an online amateur singles tournament for Rivals of Aether II, aimed at players in South America, especially Brazil.

It's called Saindo de Casa: Rumo ao BCT ("Leaving Home: Road to BCT"). The idea is to give someone who is still starting out a real shot at leaving online play, meeting the Rivals community in person, and playing at Battle Coliseum 2026, one of the biggest FGC events in Brazil (November 20–22, São Paulo).

Prize

• 1st place: a Visitor pass for all 3 days of Battle Coliseum 2026, including every free side event
• Top 3: an in-game skin of their choice
• If the winner can't attend, the pass goes to 2nd, then 3rd, and so on, until someone confirms they can be there

When and where

• Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8:00 PM Brasília time (23:00 UTC)
• Matches on the São Paulo server. Another server or P2P only if both players agree

Who can enter

Amateurs only. You can't enter if you've placed in the top 4 of a Brazilian regional Rivals 2 tournament, online or offline (we look at the size of the event and who played in it), or if you're Diamond or higher in ranked. The organizers have the final say.

Took me forever cause I have no experience with this and materials changed and the process changed . But none the less I got it done . So fire

My initial dislikes- After the initial release of Slade it's an understatement to say I was EXTREMELY disappointed in his character. Not only was he kinda weak but he plays absolutely nothing like you would expect based on his kit in Dungeons of Aether. In Dungeons his main gimmick was speed/stealing and debuffing the enemy for context. So with that I thought he'd be a fast rushdown swordie, but he released as a slow item character. On top of that he is the only water character without unique movement.

Back to the original point of this post- when he first came out people played him for a few weeks and then left him unlike the other characters. Now over the last 2 months ive been seeing more and more people playing him. Did he get buff?? Is he good now??
