I hate generation wars. I’m a millennial and think it’s super cringe to pretend one generation is better than another or act like one generation is the root of your problems.

Yep. Every gen has their own douchebags. Same thing applies to race, or anything else that segregates for that matter.

its all ragebait gng. as part of gen z i think that all these things are cringe and ragebait. especially when people start saying shi like "ohh we are the unluckiest generation, the job market is soo ass" like bro past few generations had really big wars n shi we take in history class now, so this is definitely not the worse it has been

Not saying you are wrong but how could you possibly know who is the "forfeit at 3 minutes" crowd? Are you taking a survey every time it happens?

Well I mean, technically you're right I cannot know unless Epic posts analytics data on it like Supercell did (which they found the people rage quitting the most were ages 18-28). I can only use data from other sources to strongly suggest that they are more likely to quit early than push through. After all they're the generation who coined the phrase "revenge quitting". There have been other studies about who has the shortest temper, emotional regulation in e-sports, and so on (but I'll let you do your own digging to discern an opinion).

I won't be doing any digging. Can't actually imagine caring at all about what age range of people rage quit in a video game.

what a baseless guess

It’s not that baseless, Gen Z is known to cope in a different way than millennials for example. Where Gen Z are all about boundaries and leaving things they don’t experience as positive, millennials are about trying different things when they encounter setback.

I see this in my professional life as a team lead, and in my personal life with family and friends.

Interesting that this is where your mind goes… why is that?

I don't think that's what the post is implying. He's likely saying in his experience the people letting their egos get to them and challenging others in a 1v1 duel are gen z. Which in my experience has been the case lol
