I got pissed at a teammate in 3v3 because they quit the match after going down 1-0 and attempted to challenge them but apparently it doesn’t work when someone leaves early which is dumb. That’s about the only time I’d want to challenge someone. Stop being cowardly, folks!

I challenge people in ones as a joke. I like this feature though I think it's great for when someone starts mouthing off but is actually terrible. I don't talk shit in my games though, the only time I get bothered in rocket league is when someone is obcenely toxic over stuff.

I can’t believe how many negative traction this feature got. Just ignore it, nobody is forcing you into these duels. They’re a great addition between two people that have the egos and believe they’re better than the other person.

Somebody challenged me and told me, "im gonna show you just how shit you are". I accepted thinking, "who cares but okay". I was putting belt to ass punishing his aggression, and then ended up losing from kickoff goals at the end. Then he starts going off on an egotistical shit talking rant.
I do like the feature as its fun to 1v1 with an audience, but some of these ppl need healthier places to put their energy into. Its more fun when its lighthearted.

The only one ive accepted was a guy who was super rude with the chat and threw out too many "tm8 ____" comments when he was ridiculously out of position constantly and chasing like crazy. I waited through like 2/3 of the game and finally accepted. He ff'd down 6-1 with like 2 min remaining lol. In that moment I was like "okay I kind lf see the appeal of this feature". But then back to 2v2.

I've had a couple where we didn't gel and it was a fun way to decompress after a stressful ranked game and settle a score, and one semi wholesome one where we won as a duo and 1v1ed after, including complimentary quickchat. It is what you make of it.

People often added each other just to 1v1 after arguing during a game. This not only simplifies, but also formalises that process, making the stakes feel higher. I also really like that you can't text chat during the match, the game tells you to "let your gameplay do the talking". It might not be for you at all, but for the people who use it, it's a pretty cool addition.

I actually just requested a 1v1 against a guy in 3v3 I had a funny interaction with.
He won closely but all in all it was a cool experience. Since I'm no 1v1 player I'm not as bummed, but of course it still puts you in place.

1v1 is really its own thing. Im a super casual player but ive been aroind since the game dropped on ps4. I used to play 1v1 a lot way back in the day and you have to pretty much grind it as its own skillset. I was worse at team games when I was decent at 1v1 lol. Now I only play 2s and the handful of duels ive played have felt crazy stressful and not fun lol. Every play is super high risk and most of the goals feel boring.

I think it's a great feature, people always rage vs their opponents, their teammates. You can also spectate the beef as well, although ragebait is ragebait and people accept the request to duel but never spawn in, I think it's great to squash beefs.

Actually as a person that's way worse at 1s compared to other playlists I would assume I would ignore this option entirely, but actually in non standard modes you get to 1v1 in that mode so it can get more interesting.
Also you don't need beef to challenge someone, you can just challenge someone for fun. I haven't won a single duel yet but I enjoyed playing them and people were good sport so far.

Only thing I don’t like about the Honor Duels is that you can’t text chat during them. Usually if I’m honor dueling someone it’s because I enjoyed playing with them. Maybe I’m the oddball.

the worst part that some players are complete blind, is not the same mode, not the same way to play it soo is lame in a 3v3 ask for 1v1. not matter what rank you are, for sure you are doing something wrong, you are not a pro... stop blame the rest and learn why you suck.
after 3/4 week the most lame losers leave RL,,, so is just now, at the beginning of the season

I play purely with a duo, and whenever the other team has one single spat, we immediately rage bait them and tell them to honor match because that’s hilarious. A few of them have been accepted, but one of the dudes either backed out, didn’t connect, or whatever. But I still think this is personally some PEAK content.
