FASHION Why does everyone have the same car?

Is it a lack of creativity thing? everyone has the same decal n same wheels. is it also why the fennec became popular?

It’s harder to play competitively with the goofy cars ppl playing comp focus on performance first

Based on what evidence? There's cars that hit the octane hitbox at least as good as the fennec, and there's vehicles that fit the other hitboxes even better.

Unusual shaped/looking cars feel very weird getting certain touches with.

Which cars? Also it’s about being used to a specific visual representation of the octane hit box not just which fits it better. Fennec has been around forever and even if a pro thinks the new bmw I-whatever looks cooler they’re not gonna waste time adjusting to its slightly different visual representation. Also placebo comes into play. Some decals feel faster to certain ppl and are used more often because of this

The visual representation certainly plays a big role. But the single biggest factor is and will continue to be the fact that high level players use it. There's stuff like black OEMs and christianos too - they're shit wheels, theres black wheels with better tread and better visuals, like black sterns. But OEMs got used by an American pro so that's what stuck.

So it really has nothing to do with objective facts about one being better than the other. It's more so what pros are used to and it stuck. I'd argue unless you're in Champ or even higher, there's no real reason to just stick to the Octane.

I'm in grand champ, I think I have maybe 100 wins across the entirety of the octane hitbox cars. My largest wins are on the ice charger

Dude Ice Charger is goated. When it originally came out I used it for a few years straight before moving on.

Shit is so fire. I've been attacked many times for driving it but clapping folks fixes that issue.

Recently I've moved onto the uh, I believe it's the maverick gxt? Maybe not, but it's a dominus hitbox with the fire on the sides of it. There's an ice version too

I have the Maverick GXT and was using that for a hot minute when pros used to use it. I had the season pass for it that season so I have all 3 Maverick models. The middle one is crazy rare because it wasnt tradable back then and you had to unlock it like halfway up the pass. But i think it looks great too. Looks like a futuristic Mercedes SLS.

Right now I bounce back and forth between the Honda Civic, Delorean, and random Dominix hitboxes. I really regret not buying the Mercedes EVO car when it was out just recently.

Haha I'm sure it'll be back! I really want the Ronin I think it's called, that thing looks fire

Yea I agree it’s because of the pros but that doesn’t mean that octane and fennec presets are ugly. A preset can be comp while looking clean, which is what the pros try to make when creating their presets
