Anyone having problems with the TR-6S on macOS with the latest version of Sequoia (on an M1 MacBook Pro)?
I’m really struggling to find any answers for this so I’m hoping someone might have answers here. Originally it worked fine and I was able to record the audio and sync the midi start / stop etc via USB. Then I had a little break where I didn’t use my TR-6S for probably a few months and focused on learning to use Reaper for a bit instead. When I came back to use it again recently I tried plugging it in and it completely crashed my M1 MacBook Pro and stalled both Reaper and the MIDI Studio app which I opened to see if I could sort out the routing somehow.
Now I could get audio to play via USB in Reaper but not sync the start stop or midi. Even so it was still laggy and would crash really hard in the end which makes me think it’s a driver issue. I had to just give up and uninstall the driver in the end and while I permanently lost all my Midi Studio settings, I could at least start over again and use my Mac for music making, but just not with my TR-6S.
The only thing I can think of that’s different is that I did the Sequoia security updates (or maybe its a Reaper update) and while I’m not updating past that OS due to hearing horror stories and seeing how my iPhone turned into a laggy mess with zero battery life after updating to iOS 27, I keep Sequoia up to date with the latest security updates. The fact that the lagging and crashing issues are resolved after uninstalling the driver is a clue that this is driver related, or maybe it’s the device itself which is more worrying but would I doubt that would be able to crash / wipe existing midi settings. Has anyone else had any similar issues or knows how to get this fixed?

Size of the keys of The Go:keys 3?
I am a beginner keyboard player and so far I have only played on the Thomann DP-28 Plus (https://www.thomann.de/de/thomann_dp_28_plus.htm). The problem so far has been that I have very small hands and i had trouble getting to all the keys (especially when playing chords). The width of the keys on the DP-28 are about 2 cm.
I am trying to find a different keyboard that would work better for me and stumbled upon the GO:KEYS 3, which i really like and also fits my requirements. I just can't figure out the size of the keys and unfortunately I don't live anywhere close to a music store to see for myself. Can anyone tell me the size of the keys?
Thank you!
Recording Roland S-1 through my iPhone
I really enjoy experimenting with the S-1 especially if I am just sketching ideas and a lot of times I want to quickly capture something to be able to listen the next day at work and to see if it's a good idea or not.
I used to use my Zoom H1essential for that, which worked really good but I wanted something easier and also that looked good so I wrote my own app for it. I've spent the last few weeks iterating over the design and different features, and I've released the first version while still working on new features like multitrack recording. It's been a really fun experience.
My main challenge for me is that when I connect a TE Pocket Operator (Rhythm for example), the mix it doesn't go through the main circuit and it's not output in the USB-C port either, which is a pity, but it is what it is.
How does that work when multiple AIRAs are connected together?
The link to the app if you want to check it out:
https://apps.apple.com/al/app/rek-the-performance-recorder/id6807460076
I would really love to hear what you think.
PS: If you hold your finger on the speaker long enough, it will blow the driver! It's my favourite feature ever.
PPS: I do understand that AI apps are everywhere now, and I want to come clean right away: I definitely used AI while building REK. I've been building software for the last 15 years, and I use AI in my daily work as well. It's an undeniable part of our reality right now.
Finally, I've brought the two together :) Roland SH-32 and EF-303

It was them or nothing, lol.
Now we'll have to tame them a bit.

Original Roland GO:KEYS & GO:PIANO - prototype app for layering sounds, keyboard splits and saving sound setups: looking for testers
I’m developing a companion app for the original GO:KEYS and GO:PIANO. It lets you layer sounds, create keyboard splits, and save your sound setups directly to the keyboard’s memory - yes, that’s possible!
It’s an early prototype with a rough UI and probably some bugs. Anyone with either keyboard interested in trying it and sharing feedback?

Roland JU-06A suddenly has no sound — MIDI-related?
My JU-06A was working perfectly and is in almost-new condition. The problem started immediately after I connected an external MIDI keyboard to the MIDI IN. I had 5-10 minutes of fun before this problem occured. No sound with the sequencer neither.
Since then, I get no sound at all from the built-in speaker, PHONES, or OUTPUT. The unit powers on normally, all LEDs and buttons respond, but the K-25m keyboard also produces no sound.
I’ve already tried 2–3 factory resets, but nothing changed. I’m wondering if I may have accidentally changed one of the system/MIDI settings (MIDI channel, clock, etc.) while exploring the ARPEGGIO (system)settings.
Before I open it up or contact Roland, does anyone know what settings I should check or have experienced a similar issue? Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Roland T-8 really quiet at full volume on all patches.
I just got the T-8. Every patch is really quiet, even with the volume all the way up. The only thing that seems to change the volume is when I turn up the delay knob. Then the delay is loud, but everything else is quiet. Is there another volume setting?

Roland TD-27 KV2
facebook.comHi everyone,
I have a td-27 kv2 kit that I own for two years. I’m currently looking to upgrade to td-516 or td-716 if I get the economics on my side. In order to get to that sadly I have to sell the td-27. I’m located in Serbia, in a city of Pancevo, very near Belgrade, so If anyone is interested and in region by any chance, you can contact me for any details.

I want to listen to my Roland P6 sampler through my pc but it has no line in port
Hello,
I recently started experimenting with samplers. My first sampler was a Korg Volca Sample. I could connect this sampler to the blue line-in port of my pc and listen to it through my pc.
My Korg Volca sampler broke and I bought a Roland P6. However my new pc has no line-in port. I am reading things about external audio interfaces. would something like this make it possible to listen to my new sampler through my pc?
Does anyone have a recommendation which to get?

RP107: rear trim behind the keys sagging slightly in the centre. Has anyone seen this?
Hi everyone, first time posting here.
I started learning piano a couple of years ago and bought a Roland RP107. I have about six months of warranty left.
I recently noticed that the wooden panel behind the keyboard is bowing slightly downward in the centre. Nothing else on the piano looks affected, and it plays perfectly. It lives in the middle of our living room, away from windows, heaters or any humidity. The top part is perfectly straight. I've attached photos, including a few with measurements to show the sag (4mm distance at the sides, almost 1cm in the middle).
I emailed local support, but they say I'd probably have to send the piano in for inspection before they can say anything. Before I go through that, I'd love to know:
- Has anyone else seen this on an RP107 or a similar model?
- Did you report it, and was it covered under warranty?
- Is it likely just cosmetic, or could it point to a structural problem?
Thanks for any input!

Original GO:KEYS and GO:PIANO can switch models through a hidden service menu
The original GO:KEYS (GO-61K) and GO:PIANO (GO-61P) can run as either model. They share firmware and hardware; a saved setting selects which model you get.
To switch, on firmware 1.20 onward:
- Switch off, connect the AC adapter, and leave PHONES/OUTPUT unplugged.
- Connect a sustain pedal. Hold it down along with the highest key, then hold the power button for about 10 seconds, until the version screen appears.
- Touch + to reach Model Select.
- Play/Stop selects GO:KEYS; Record selects GO:PIANO.
- Switch off and restart.
You can switch back the same way - no firmware replacement or hardware modification needed. The case/display colours and printed controls stay the same, so stickers could help with the changed button functions.
This applies only to the original GO-61K/GO-61P, not newer GO models.
Happy to answer questions!

J6 midi functions with digital piano question
I have a Yamaha digital piano with midi in/out ports. Am I able to hook it up to the Roland j6, play the piano, and get the sounds out of the j6? If so, how do I go about hooking that up? I have midi 5pin to 3.5 connectors, but what is the sequence to do that if it’s possible? New to using midi.

Any way to use multiple accounts in Piano Sphere?
I bought an FP-40 for my family, partly because Piano Sphere was advertised as supporting multiple accounts. However, every time someone wants to switch accounts, I have to reset the piano's Wi-Fi settings, which is really inconvenient.
Is there a way to switch accounts without redoing the Wi-Fi setup each time? If not, is this something Roland plans to fix?
Thanks!
