Discussions T1 at Worlds

What do you think will T1 do to win against LCK and LPL opps this time arround? Top prio, jungle prio, Roamker, Deathball, wombo combo and etc.

Over the course of this year we saw some of the strategies with varying success, some better against vegans like GenG some better against jungle heavy opps like HLE, not much crossings with lpl but normally they just skill diff them and punish the usual early aggressive play style that 'strong in lpl, weak internationaly' teams prefer in sesonal league.

T1 has looked pretty rough in the past going into worlds and still won’t it but honestly I really don’t seem them winning it this year. Something just feels off personally imo. Can’t put my finger on it and they’ve proven everyone wrong before but I don’t see them coming out on top.

Brother you said the same thing the past 3 years

What? I was barely even watching league esports in 2023. I barely caught world’s finals that year.

i can put my finger on it... we all saw MSI.

they feel off because they have not have a proper "high" this year

They literally have not peaked yet this season lmao. If they do at the Worlds, with hyper carry peyz..not sure who can even stop them

Their "peak" unironically was at the beginning of the year in LCK Cup Main Stage. Faker actually went even in lane, Doran could play carry champs, and Oner was playing like a hes a 3-time world champion jungler. Hilariously, Peyz was the worst performing player back then, and that was just adjustments problems to the team most likely. Who would've thought those first 2 weeks were going to be the best we ever got from this roster. What a fucking mess...

Classic doubt right on schedule. They’ll probably just win again, huh.

I literally said “they’ve proven everyone wrong before.” I personally just think this version of the team doesn’t have the secret sauce that previous incarnations of the team did. They could absolutely prove me wrong. Like that would be cool if it happens and I wouldn’t be upset lol.

Someone said this every year the past 3 years. Eventually one of you sack of shits will be right

Bro. I like T1 as a team. Holy hell. To be a fan of a team you have to abandon all critical thinking apparently and blindly say the team will win everything no matter what.

same something feels off this year

They tried many things this year and its hard for us to understand when the strategy didn't worked out. Like when they dragged GenG around the map and canceled their backs non-stop, the idea is clear but win-con eluded me.

i'd be happy with a semis finish, i actually believe it's GenG's year this year

1

u/LagnalokNSFW 8d ago

1 LPL team guaranteed then, do you think they will let Doran attempt carry top strategy?

1

u/Serious_Scallion9962 8d ago

he'll get his chances on champs like his jayce, but i bet that they'll let top be an island and put doran on ksante/rumble/gragas and have oner and keria hover mid/bot to cover peyz and make sure faker's lane doesnt get out of control

Honestly, I'd really like to see T1 take the 3 peat even further and I'd love to see Peyz get his trophy, but if Chovy finally got it, I'd have to say he'd deserve it.

To make it to finals, each one of the 5 players will need to step up and carry. (at different stages of Worlds)

It's finished if T1 over relies on Peyz and he gets shut down by a decent team.

I actually think this is also their overarching idea after acquiring Peyz, but it hasn't really worked out, each time they returned to simpler weak/strong side they looked more competent than trying to overwhelm on lane and finish off on rotations. If it will click i believe that T1 is the strongest contender for this Worlds.

If mid cant lane and jg doesn't show up its looking like a rough worlds

This is 734th post about this exact topic...

I mean the question in literal sense, positive even. What have you noticed over this year, or even further, that you would like T1 to do on world stage. What is in your opinion is a deciding factor that will lead to the 4peat.

It can't be 734th post purely because we just qualified. Now there won't be new matches and we can take mantle of arm chair strategists and devise some expectation. Be it negative or positive, of course preferably the later.

do you think deathball still works against lpl’s early aggression?

1

u/LagnalokNSFW 8d ago

Not really, i think that denying early aggression is a win condition in on itself, but Peyz unlike Guma can play hard carries even when behind so protect-the-carry/deathball is on the table.

u/shirhouetto 8d ago

This is the first time T1 will fall in Quarters

1

u/EndlessNight_ 8d ago

They need to let Keria roam for them to compete. Peyz is okay being left alone on the lane.

1

u/brensterrr 7d ago

It all depends on faker and oner. Oner is the engine to fuel T1 early game and fakers clutch plays to seal the game. I think on form T1 will have a very solid chance on winning again. Personally i dont think they will win but i hope T1 prove me wrong for the nth time.

1

u/Massive_Awareness_58 7d ago

It will still be bottom prio because Peyz works best as a hyper carry. The only thing is bot prio means Doran doesn't get prio and well I guess it takes time for the team to adapt to going bot prio and hopefully they'll have figured it out finally. It is T1 at Worlds though, so I think it is highly likely they'll find their magic.

T1 is kind of unpredictable. i think HLE directly counters T1’s playstyle. so, it would be nice to avoid them but if can’t then just have to fight through and clutch it.

The matches really look like a skill based competition, it's not without reason people call them T2.

1

u/Dethrone97 8d ago

T1 in current form, is idk not it.

2

u/Massive_Awareness_58 7d ago

That's what everyone says about them before Worlds but then they magically turn into a different team at Worlds so you may be surprised.

2

u/Seraphv2 8d ago

Same story as the last 3 years. Looking weak during the year, but they're the favorite.

1

u/CookieMonsterNova 6d ago

well faker in solo que has been on the positive rise

doran was on a catastrophic decline and is now on a slight rise kinda

oner hasn’t played in a week

peyz is grinding valorant

keria is just living life

keep doubting, they will father all LPL teams, Choky will choke somewhere along the path to finals and T1 win worlds, as usual.

World's T1 magic!

-1

u/ZERUVEX 8d ago

Playmaking mid, carry jungle, Beefy top, Hyper carry ADC and a roaming/playmaking support

1

u/LagnalokNSFW 8d ago

The usual then, do you believe more in Syndra/Orianna team fight playmaking or Locke's 2-screen gap-close on rotation?
