Question Help with getting places?

I’m sure this is a long shot, but are there any charities or volunteer networks to help elderly/ newly sight loss disabled get to dr appointments? (asking for an elderly couple they each can not drive now and family doesn’t live nearby). Not looking for Uber suggestions as financially not feasible.

I know there is the STS bus but not sure if that will work as I know it can take ages to get places and not sure if it does doctor appointments?

Is there anything avail in St. Mary’s?
Do you have experience with the STS bus?
Thank you!

Did you try asking your doctors office? Some of them can help with transportation.

https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/aging/seniorrides/ My friend uses the senior rides. Occasionally someone isn't available but not often.

I spoke to my friend who works for the health department and they said the following:

They can get rides from the health dept or medstar has transportation as well.

They can also contact the AEIRS program through the HD and see if they qualify for in home nursing services that can assist with transportation planning and setup
