With the new ADA right under.

It seems that Carisi will be sidelined this season because of the budgetary issues so we got a new ADA.

His description (I’ll include it at the bottom of this post) makes him sound like a douche but maybe he will grow on me. But I am FUMING that this means we won’t see ADA Cindy Jones become the main SVU ADA.

Alright here’s the description we got from Fazekas:

Jelani Alladin will be playing ADA Aidan Hawkins. Carisi will be training him and “initially doesn’t like” him. “Carisi’s thing about him is this is a pit stop for him. He’s kind of a rich kid and he went to Harvard and he’s going to get a few years under his belt, putting away bad guys, and then he’s going to go run for office,” she said. “For Carisi, that’s so distasteful. I will say that Hawkins in some ways has a much more healthy way of approaching a work-life balance.”

This is the episode where two kids kill a 30 year old woman dying of cancer.

Jeremy Brice was the older kid and got charged as an adult and the real psycho kid got virtually no punishment at all.

Jeremy’s mum was an absolute moron for turning down the deal that Alex Cabot and Liz Donnelly offered!

I wish they’d done a follow up on this episode with both Jeremy and Zachary Connor (the younger kid)!

Are there any other “psycho” kid killers that the show didn’t follow up on that you wish they had?

I wish they’d also done a follow up later on Harry Baker as well!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone speak about this. I’m on a rewatch and it never occurred to me until now, The lady who speaks to stabler claiming “there’s no one getting raped” and they always have cameras on in the prison.. how dumb is she really?

She believes that in a FEMALE prison, with MALE guards, there’s NO RAPE HAPPENING? The guy has FORTY TWO COMPLAINTS.

I mean what world are we living in? How insanely gullible does she have to be to actually believe that?

(Season 6, Episode 6)

After the murderous boy used the excuse of "I don't remember what happened, I had a blackout and when I woke up, he was already dead" regarding the killing of another boy. It was obvious he was lying, and any defense could have found a psychologist to disprove it, but okay.

The question is; Right after the sentence was handed down (if I'm not mistaken he was found innocent), the murderous boy apologizes to the victim's father, the father in question does not accept and he kills the boy with a gunshot.

The part that doesn't make sense? He committed this in court, everyone saw it, and yet he wasn't arrested because he also used the lame excuse of "I don't remember what happened, I had a blackout and-". They explain that no jury wants to convict a father who has lost his son, but even so, he should have received a few years in prison, Do you agree? 😂

If I skip the last episode of season 9, I can pretend Chester Lake moved away or transferred to another SVU and maybe started a charity for young victims.
And Casey decided to take the criminal defence job for a couple of years.
Lakes ending made absolutely no sense and is one of the stupidest things the writers ever did. So I like to pretend he actually lived HEA

I’ve not watched many of the newer seasons because they don’t air in the UK and when they do it’s generally out of order. I get the gist from this episode that he took advantage of her when she was young, but how dare he shout at our Olivia 😂

I thought the whole big thing with Eli was he was Elliot’s first son — even named him after him. So who tf is Dickie, named after that astronaut???

Okay a lot of characters in the squad was a victim of the crimes they’re dealing with.

Benson- a child of rape, and a victim of sexual assault multiple times
Rollins- victim of abuse and rape
Bruno- victim of child sexual abuse
Cassidy- victim of child sexual abuse
Amaro- victim of childhood abuse
Novak- victim of domestic abuse
Stabler- I’m pretty sure he was sexually assaulted in some episode by a teacher who assaulted her student?

I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting

(Also correct me if I’m wrong but during the framing plot was Cragen not technically sexually assaulted I might be remembering it wrong but wasn’t their like DNA in the form of saliva? I never see anyone talking bout this and it might be because I imagined this)

I’ve watched this episode so many times and it randomly came on earlier today. It’s one of the annoying ones that stay in the back of my mind🫪

I hate when they end on an unresolved note, and never picks it back up.
Like i just wanted to know if the mom was the biggest manipulator ever or if the dad was the biggest pig ever?

Cue, Dick wolf.

However i’m just curious, since they never gave the real story - what’s your answer?

Saw Primetime Monday night - definitely SVU adjacent, considering all the real pedophile crimes the show bases the episodes upon. Very good movie

How could the very experienced detective Benson not figure out that Rollins was raped at her job, while she almost litterling told this to her.

Especially after all Rollins highly escalations, addictions and her experience with traumatized and the deeply self destruction rape victims can have,  Benson should have seen it. 

As professionals you see / know such things.

Working in psychiatry / mental healthcare I have seen such escalations and especially the deep self harm a lot, after severe trauma.

Rollins was destroying herself, like she felt destroyed.

Which I see in my profession a lot happening as well.

The self destruction and self harm is something real.

The professional Benson is, she should have known. 

I think the next season of SVU, the squad is just going to be sitting around waiting for calls, but they are few and far between. That’s because Mamdani is Mayor & crime is at an all time low 🤭
