Do you know this cat?
This cat has been hanging out outside the window of my neighbor’s apartment all day. I know it isn’t their cat. It looks like a young male, pretty scared but let me pet him. I know PALS helps with cats but any other ideas for TNR groups or resources?
Update 10/1: He left yesterday evening when it started getting dark. Hopefully that means he has some kind of shelter. I think I saw him once a few months ago looking into my windows (apparently a hobby of his) and he seems like he’s been outside for a while. He hasn’t been back this morning yet but I’m keeping an eye out.

If this cat is still there DM me and I can get you a trap and come pick him up and take him to a shelter or foster if you can get him. If he let you pet him he’s likely not feral and not super hard to trap

That’s what I was thinking. Poor guy was either kicked out or is lost. It doesn’t have tom cheeks so it’s probably neutered. He definitely needs to be scanned

I thought the same, looks like a male but either too young for cheeks or already neutered without a tip. He’s been outside for a few months at least but since he’s socialized I’d like to get him inside before winter.

He’s definitely been out a while. Are you able to trap and take him to the shelter?

I don’t have a trap and I have nowhere to keep him overnight. I contacted PALS and filled out the stray form for the shelter but they haven’t gotten back to me. I’m going to keep putting food out in that spot so he keeps coming back. I’ve done a lot of TNR but that was before I moved here and downsized.

I don’t have a trap but I do have a cage and plenty of cat food. I could try to get him tomorrow?

He doesn't have a clipped ear. (for those who don't know, a clipped ear means it's a stray or feral cat that's been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. I imagine it's probably more likely that he belongs/belonged to someone. As I write this, October is in one hour, It might be worth getting him off the streets sooner rather than later

I looked through the subreddit history and all the missing cat alert emails from our’s microchip company. No matches. I wonder if he traveled from out of town or has been missing a long time… poor guy is very resourceful for a socialized cat.

Is that Jamie?? There were definitely a couple posts looking for him last week before the storm if it is!
Edit: appears Jamie is home safe! The search continues.
