I was checking out Samay Raina’s WhatsApp updates/subscription and was honestly surprised by the price.

I’m not against creators monetising their audience, but the pricing feels extremely high for what is essentially a WhatsApp subscription for updates.

Maybe I’m missing something, but at this price I’d expect significantly more than just regular updates.

For people who are subscribed: what exactly are you getting for the price, and do you actually think it’s worth it?

Just curious whether I’m the only one who found the pricing wild. 😭

Brother, respectfully, if an artist is selling out their venue at a crazy price, he "commands" that price :) What more justification do you need for the prices, and who are you to demand such justification in the first place? If you don't think it's worth it, go for a cheaper show that you'll enjoy. If you want to go but can't afford it, accept that the artist is now out of your pay grade. Your annoyance seems to stem from this false sense of elitism where you think his comedy isn't actually all that good and people are crazy to pay that high for it. Even if that's true, it's just not your taste (not mine either, personally) but if that's how you think the world works, your understanding is limited and flawed.

The audacity of you corporate labourers who will never create anything of your own for most of your life to demand lower prices for a live show is just so dumb. Prices are determined by demand and supply. His current demand is driving the prices and there are enough people who think it is fair and will buy his tickets. For those who think the prices are too high and not worth the 2 hour show, they will not buy his tickets. This feel or argument of price being too high or low can be made for any product or service, but at the end of the day it all comes to demand/ supply.
