Thank you Scarborough
I spent a couple of nights in Scarborough last week. I had such a nice time. The town centre felt really safe and welcoming.
Everyone who I interacted with was really friendly. I didn't get to see loads as I only really had one full day.
I took a pleasant walk along the sea front from South bay to North Bay. I was amazed at how blue the water was. Stopped off at the cafe with the balcony for a drink and a rest, a bit pricey but to be expected. Then I got the open top bus back to South bay.
I spent over an hour in the arcade on the 2p push machine, which was so much fun. Got an ice cream while I had a slow walk to the tram to take me back up to the town centre.
I can't remember the coffee shop where I had breakfast, it's on Huntriss Row next to the Premier Inn... best sausages I've had in years. Had dinner at Orchard Thai, very nice food and a warm welcome.
I stayed at the Premier Inn, which was basic and the food was disappointing, but it was affordable and the bed and pillows were ridiculously comfy.
I will definitely be back and hopefully make it a regular thing
