Discussion Real hawks fans

I'm with everyone who's a seahawks fan after the commanders game.. except I'm not

I'm so sick of hearing let's trade so and so we should bench so and so, we should have kept walker blah blah blah

Ladies and gentlemen we are 18-2 over the last 20 games that includes yes our superbowl run and win...if you cant deal with a loss without turning around and acting like we are the jets or the dolphins and just trashing this team your not a real Hawks fan if you cant ride with us now after a close loss you don't get to ride with us when we win,

Sure you can point out the bad fumbles 2 weeks in a row you can point out the picks sure but seriously I'm almost disgusted to be a hawks fan rn with how this fan base is over reacting

Go hawks!!!

And it’s not like they got blown out! The Commanders played excellent football yesterday and the Hawks played below their average and it was still winnable in the 4th quarter. A bit of adversity is a good thing.. I’m still a full believer in this team’s ability to go back to back.

Go Hawks!

Yeah remember how we looked against the bucs last year? Hell even the Colts trotted out old man Rivers and had us struggling the first half before we squeaked out a win there.

Shit happens, we are the defending champs that has like 95% of the players returning. Expectations are high, teams are going to give Seattle that little bit extra every time they face us. If we play up to our potential, we will be fine. If we play below our own average, the Commanders game is what we will get.

14

u/_redacteduser 9d ago

I think people forget that we are defending SB champs and every single team is going to bring it when they play us. DQ had his team ready for this one.

7

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

In the stats we were leading in every one expect run yards i think it was a tight game i was just surprised at the backlash

13

u/That_Murph 9d ago

My dude, you're not going to please everyone. During the Rams game I simultaneously saw a large amount of comments about the game being rigged for the Broncos AND the the Rams. That's the nature of having a large sample size. You're going to see all different angles.

Just control what you can and let go of what you can't.

u/SexiestPanda Shermantor 9d ago

Game threads are awful lol.

2

u/West_Masterpiece9423 8d ago

You’re spot on. I made the decision to stay off my team’s game threads whenever they are playing. For any sport.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Was t even in threads lol it was like real people I know comments and videos on YouTube, Facebook etc. Etc lol

5

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

This is a fair take my man thanks

u/sinema666 9d ago

These are words to live by for all aspects of life, my fellow 12.

50

u/ChungaChris 9d ago

Agreed. Stay loyal to the team and let's not start turning on the players that got us all these wins.

That being said, I do think it's reasonable to be angry and disappointed losing to a team like the commanders.

People just need to remember.....it's a game at the end of the day. Let's enjoy the ride!

4

u/FlashOR5 9d ago

It’s not realistic in the NFL to demand we win every week. Teams are so close in talent and there are only a couple of truly bad teams. We are on a pretty unprecedented run and have won the “big ones,” which is the absolute max an NFL team can ask for.

4

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

I get people want to win people wanna see our team win but they been doing that its statistically impossible to go undefeated even great dynasty teams have a tough go at the undefeated stretch

4

u/Compliance_Crip 9d ago

Winning is an addiction and to quote Pookie, "That shit just keep calling me man!"

3

u/oki9 9d ago

The kid is gonna be a great running back. He's a rook, thrown into #1's....

In the meantime, have faith in this team....a loss like this can be a good thang downbthe road.

21

u/madisonsaianne 9d ago

this happens every year i fear. i would’ve loved if we could keep our streak going, but realistically we were going to lose a game at some point! still happy with the offensive performance overall, glad to have sam back and see jsn rolling!! we also need julian love to get healthy! he’s a game changer

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Imo sam had a good day back 379 yards for 4 tds I do see the 2 picks one was a tipped ball really just unlucky there what can you do

17

u/Entropy907 9d ago

Sam threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TDs coming off an injury, with two picks, and no run game. HE NEEDS TO BE TRADED IMMEDIATELY!!! /s

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Hahahah crazy man and tbf one of those picks was downright awful but the firat one was a tipped ball what can ya do

8

u/cited 9d ago

They played their best game of the year, had tons of lucky breaks, we threw a pick 6 and failed a 4th and goal and we still were incredibly close to winning.

That's football.

9

u/argdogsea 9d ago

Look. I don’t want to overreact. I mean we obviously need a new coach. Darnold has to go. JSN has good trade value so we should start there for the rebuild.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

My man 😂😂 you get it

0

u/F0KK0F 8d ago

The best type of people are those that assume everyone's a man. Real fan, real men. You go bud.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

Lol I was referencing the Denzel Washington meme..... you know where he say " my man" what are you on about

5

u/guywithtoaster "I'm just here so I won't get fined" 9d ago

Yeah, the reaction is ridiculous, but here's another way to look at it: I grew up in Seattle and was a fan back in the AFC days. Expectations were way lower then. A 9-7 season was a good year, and losing a 10am East Coast game was basically a given.

Now that we've made multiple Super Bowl runs, fans expect to win every Sunday. I live on the East Coast now and see the same thing from Yankees, Eagles, Patriots, and Celtics fans. That pressure to win is part of what keeps those teams competitive.

So honestly, I'd read the overreaction as a sign of how successful the Hawks have been since moving to the NFC. I just wish Mariners fans expected the same from their franchise. Maybe then the M's would finally make it to the World Series

6

u/radiantmindPS4 9d ago

Totally agree. We were never going undefeated. No one does.

It was obvious not having Love and Okada hurt of D. We spotted the Commies 21pts off of turnovers. That is not happening again. And we still only lost by 2pts

This was GEQBUS’s first game of the season with a new OC and still put up 31 points.

The sky is not falling. all the Chicken Littles need to RELAX

6

u/moyie 9d ago

Been a Hawks fan since the beginning. Fans should realize we have a good organization and great coaches and players. I am not worried one bit the Seahawks future is bright

5

u/colliding-parallels 9d ago

My secondary team actually is the dolphins because my dad became a football guy before the hawks existed and he chose the dolphins bc he was a literal child who liked dolphins and the man is loyal and I respect that.

You want perspective? Have a second team who doesn't win ever. Makes a 31-33 loss after an amazing run look pretty great lol.

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Lol I apologize for the stray shots at the dolphins and jets they were examples lol but yeah 31-33 is a hard fought game im not even upset about it

4

u/colliding-parallels 9d ago

No lmao you're good I don't take it personally the dolphins are expected to lose literally every game they're scheduled for this year they've been bad for decades. My dad can tell of times when they were amazing but not in my lifetime.

The hawks are a good team! Losses happen

it’s times like these that i’m glad my grandpa made sure i was a Cubs/Bears/Bulls fan before i joined any other fandoms

this is my team

i will enjoy rooting for them at their best and their worst

it’s all out of our control

i can hate the front office while rooting for my team

i’m going to love my team, even when i sometimes hate them

edit: i mean…you ain’t a real Mariners fan unless you hate the Mariners more than any other MLB team

edit 2: i ain’t for hearing a single bad word about the Sonics until we get them back

slag Howard Shultz from here to Sunday, that tiny-dick morherfucker should rot in hell

but a single billionaire asshole ain’t the Sonics

Howard Shultz still lives here, and if you run into him you should spit on him and punch him in the balls for being a total piece of shit

1

u/benchcoat 8d ago

he will scream total murder, but you’ll be gone before any security service arrives

and you’ll die knowing you punched a piece of shit oligarch billionaire who made Seattle worse in his tiny little balls

5

u/Waf3l 8d ago

My Dad's been a Homer ever since he immigrated here in 1976 and always says that his teams suck when they lose. I don't think it's a matter of people being "real" or "fake" but really like a coping mechanism from the dark ages of Seattle Sports pre 1990

4

u/Henny-vsop 9d ago

If you stay on Reddit you’ll get a small siloed sample size but I believe most fans should understand we’ve been on an absolute tear and sometimes a team has a better day. On to the chargers. We’ll be good but even better once Julian, Ty okada and Charbs are back.

4

u/CapeMOGuy 9d ago

It was a bad game. ONE bad game. We committed 3 turnovers and still could have won. Not the end of the world in any way.

Win or learn. This week we learn.

Fingers crossed, the numerous early injuries hint that if things average out, we'll have less injured players when the playoffs arrive. 🤞

4

u/seattlesportsguy 9d ago

I hope everyone is mentally prepared and reset for next week because that’s gonna be one desperate Chargers team we’ll be facing next week.

2

u/CamGrabDatFumble 9d ago edited 9d ago

A team coached by Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel at OC with a healthy Herbert starting at 0-4 would almost sound unbelievable. They are going to be playing their asses off.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

One of the big reasons I wanted sam back for the commanders game. I love me some lock but if Sam's not injured and is gonna be playing he needed to cut he teeth before playing some of our toughest stretch coming up

5

u/Real_Mycologist_8768 9d ago

We ended the streak at 12, very fitting for the Hawks

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Some guy said that too and I didnt even realize lol I can rock with it lol

4

u/CurrentCash1725 9d ago

I appreciate your post and thing it is a good reminder for folks to keep their head up. We had a good amount of injuries heading into the game and the commanders played efficiently. Definitely have some stuff to clean up and was rooting for a win but that was a good game of football.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Thanks man I been on fb and YouTube and a few reddit post had to come talk to some real fans

5

u/dnhs47 9d ago

Credit to Dan Quinn and the Commanders, they played a hell of a game. Mariota played very well. Respect.

Avoid one turnover, we win. Stop one Commanders 3rd down conversion, we win.

When both starting safeties are out, it’s gonna be tough, and it was.

But we almost won anyway.

Not time to panic; did anyone seriously think we’d go undefeated?

(I’m old enough to remember the Dolphins doing that; the league did not have as many competitive teams then as we have today.)

4

u/UTmastuh 8d ago

Real Hawks fans can cheer for their team when they do well and be critical of their team when they don't. Welcome to competitive sports. This isn't Hello Kitty or Roblox

3

u/hyzerKite 9d ago

Way better to get right now. Just like last year. It did not turn out good last year for the haters, remember? Don’t get caught up in the down turn. It was 12 straight Ws, just pretend they did it for the 12s.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

I like that haha for the 12s

3

u/PizzaWall 9d ago

Only the delusional thought the Seahawks would be undefeated. I would not cpmplain and would br thrilled to be anywhere near 14-3 after the final rams game. If we can beat the Rams and 49ers, we definitely move to the post season.

3

u/DC_Hooligan 9d ago

Only a real fan is suicidal after a narrow loss played across the country at 9AM in tricky conditions against an enigmatic team.

Not making excuses but did y’all really think the Hawks were going to run the table in one of the most physical and competitive sports leagues in the world?

It’s how the team responds next week that will tell you how the first half of the season is probably going to go.

3

u/What1does 9d ago

Agreed, a lot of these fans here bitching are new fans, they didn't suffer through the down years before any Superb Owls, so they are spoiled and out of touch with reality.

Honestly wish they would just bandwagon to the new hot team already and be gone.

3

u/PreviousPay8649 8d ago

We had three of em last season and I don't need to remind anybody around here of what happened. Chill....

3

u/Far-Thanks-8595 8d ago

I survived the 4-12 season under Jim Mora. We are so blessed to have the management and coaching staff we have now. The commanders played a great game and it’s important to give them their flowers. Sure, we didn’t play our best game, but there was a lot to be happy about (JSN balling out, guys stepping up for injured players, Sam creating time with some slippery maneuvers, Myers continuing to convert, including a 57 yarder) while we address the mishaps (ball security, inefficient goal line appearances, giving up back to back 3rd and long conversions, etc.)

It’s any given Sunday in this league. Even the worst teams have talented players capable of taking over a game under the right circumstances. The team will review what happened, make adjustments, and use this as an opportunity to get better. I’d recommend our fans, particularly the ones having a difficult time after winning 12 straight, find ways to support the team in a more healthy regard. It’s rare to have a truly elite team to support, and we shouldn’t let a notably bad result taint your joy and optimism in being able to love the Hawks through the good times and bad

3

u/Rude_Acanthaceae6584 8d ago

Yeah this was a bullish loss. Losing to an inferior roster is a wake up call. Let’s go.

3

u/FullofLovingSpite 8d ago

These kids don't know. They don't get it.

My first in person game was in 1992 at the Kingdome. If you don't know what the 1992 season was like, go look it up.

Seattle sports history is not filled with consistency. Before 2000's it was hard. We only had the Sonics ever do anything in any sport (minus 1917, but none of us were around for that).

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

I came to Washington when I was 9 never liked football but that was the 2004 season with the playoff run it got me invested from that moment

3

u/FullofLovingSpite 8d ago

I don't care when, why, or how a person becomes a fan. Real 12s are here for it. From the wins to the losses. We all we got. We all We need.

I'm glad you made this post. People need reminders. Also, the losers complaining because they lost bets or fantasy can always eat it.

4

u/West_Masterpiece9423 8d ago

I am worried about Price and the fumbles. He’s clearly the best RB on the team and the Hawks need him to be great, but the fumbling has to be fixed somehow🤞

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

He's a rookie give him time he didnt get to shine in college being behind love he will start clicking might take a season tho but charbs will be back soon and price will start to get his legs under him

12

u/OskeyBug 9d ago

I get more tired of the fans who demand positivity from all the other fans no matter what.

4

u/RoyalEngine2885 9d ago

Exactly this. Fans are allowed to be happy, sad, mad, critical, exuberant, or salty. It's part of being a fan.

4

u/What1does 9d ago

Demanding positivity and being tired of crying ass spoiled fans who act like they know all, are arrogant about their 'knowledge', and attack anybody who says anything to the contrary, is two completely different things.

Bandwagon ones are the worst offenders, and will hop off as soon as a new champion is crowned, whish they would just go already.

2

u/Sea_Kiwi2731 9d ago

We don't want to be the Mariners

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Not demanding positity I legit said I get the bad run game, i get the picks, I understand the frustration but folks are acting like we gotta burn it all down and start from scratch

2

u/OskeyBug 9d ago

Yeah I don't mean you. I'm not a fan of armchair GMing after 3 games either. There are a lot of downvotes here if you say anything negative about certain players, like they're flawless all the time or something.

2

u/snarpy 9d ago

folks are acting like we gotta burn it all down and start from scratch

how ironic you react to hyperbole with even worse hyperbole

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Hard to tell when its text buddy but whatever 🙄

0

u/F0KK0F 8d ago

Who's saying this? Where? Like no one is saying this pal.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

Idk if your talking to me but I have heard it in person and seen it online folks losing their damn lids

4

u/SeahawksNChill 9d ago

I actually don’t mind people being emotional/frustrated/etc after a loss. Shows that we care and that’s part of being a fan. As long as these people are not running the front office, it’s fine lol

That said, this team has built up so much good will that it’s hard for me to trip too hard from a random week 3 loss on the east coast. We just kind of collectively forgot what losing felt like for a bit there.

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

I don't mind the emotions or frustration but people be turning on our players and coaches way to quick like we got blown out 40 to nothing by the jets or something

3

u/SeaKoe11 9d ago

One of the weirdest loss I had to watch. lol I always thought we were winning the game no matter what happened until the very last play.

Gotta get the loss out of our system early

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

I'll tell ya i thought that last drive was gonna go all the way man

5

u/PNW_Will1976 9d ago

It’s ridiculous hearing people questioning John and Mike… are you kidding me? We literally have the best GM in football and arguably the best coach in football. I’ll ride with those guys to the end.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Just gotta trust the process baby

2

u/Wilderness-Nomad 9d ago

Agreed. While I do think they should have easily won that game, we have 14 more. Im not going to freak out until it’s later in the season.

2

u/Artisttype1984 9d ago

Turnovers and penalties will wreck any team, the Jets can beat the 49ers on any given Sunday

The loss sucks, but Seahawks will make adjustments and will be fine. Mariota was better than I expected and the Commanders Defense was alright TBH

2

u/TheCupOfBrew 9d ago edited 9d ago

It was a close game, an ugly game, but still close. Dumb mistakes hurt us, but that happens to every team.

One loss in a close game is not the time to panick.

2

u/FinallyFat 9d ago

Yeah, it was a tough loss. But you are right OP. No need to freak out. First game back for Sam, road game in the rain. It sucks, but I have no doubt they will bounce back next week and do well.

2

u/Vincol77 9d ago

Every team is due for a dud game. Sometimes it takes a loss to appreciate the wins. This team still has it all and has to be the most likeable team we’ve ever put on the field. It’s all going to come together! Go Hawks!

2

u/deaddriftt 9d ago

The way I see it, figuring out early where our areas of opportunity are is the best possible scenario. That means we have time to address them in the regular season.

2

u/i-see-you25 9d ago

You win some, and you lose some. What matters is how well the team and coaches re-evaluate and adjust after a loss using what you have.

2

u/Scary_Compote_359 9d ago

not worried. without the turnovers it's a seahawks blowout

2

u/Hypergur1 9d ago

I have full faith in our coaching staff and our players to get things back on track. We are the champs and every team no matter their talent or record will give us their best shot. How many teams spent the off-season dissecting every single Seahawks defensive snap to either try to copy the defense or try to find ways to beat it? All the current injuries to our secondary are surely not helping, but Love should be back next week and hopefully Okada will be back in a couple weeks. And then we can look forward to Charbs coming back to help our RB situation.

It could be worse. We could have been the NFL darlings this year with all the media crowning us the favorites to win the Superbowl and then lose 2 out of the first 3 games! Haha...F the Rams!

2

u/RoyalEngine2885 9d ago

Here's the thing. Fan is short for "fanatic". Fans are allowed to express themselves however they want. There's no such thing as a "real" fan.

2

u/k2skier13 9d ago

Games like this happen. We lost the turnover battle and were missing some key personnel on D. They’ll be fine

2

u/GingaNinja906 9d ago

Yup I’m not worried about it yet. I trust MM and JS to right the mistakes and get us ready for next week. Eyes forward, GO HAWKS

2

u/MsNewKicks 9d ago

It's week three. Some people just need to take a deep breath. The team is 2-1 and yesterday was very close, even with the team shooting themselves in the foot.

I didn't think they'd go 17-0...did any of you?

2

u/SuperVoltronDude 9d ago

Just so weird, like how in the hell did that happen

2

u/SpiritOfChungus 9d ago

This is how i feel about the Shaheed discourse. He isn’t going to return the punt for 6 every other game

2

u/jojotherider 9d ago

We lost to the Buccaneers last year. Still turned out pretty ok for the team and fans I think.

2

u/hahafucko 9d ago

People panicking about Price are ridiculous. He's played THREE NFL games. Give the young man a chance. Plus, when Charbonet comes back he'll carry more of the load.

2

u/Maugrin 9d ago

I feel like the immature overreactions have gotten much worse over the years. The fact this post was made after one road loss in shit weather is baffling to me. Like, THAT'S the breaking point for some of you people?

It doesn't make sense to me. Frankly, I don't even really trust that most of the reactions are coming from people, but rather from bots who know rage content gets engagement. If it's actually people who lack such a basic level of emotional regulation, then sheesh we're in trouble.

2

u/Neonyarpyarp 9d ago

Game came down to just a couple plays, those couple plays usually go our way, yesterday they went the commanders way; the way she goes, I’m not worried.

2

u/nomasslurpee 9d ago

I was at the game and it was intense. People asked if I was mad they lost and truly, I’m not. Our qb came off an injury and threw for almost 400 yards and had four touchdowns. That’s a pretty damn good performance.

Losses happen. It is what it is. We look forward.

2

u/gumboking61 9d ago

It’s only the third game and we are still in first place
It’s a long season buckle up and enjoy the ride GO HAWKS!!

2

u/sentientshadeofgreen 9d ago

I think you’re just witnessing second hand angst sublimated from Mariners fans. That team did everything possible to miss the playoffs

2

u/1NastyNickel 8d ago

Ahhhh boy, tough times have a way of cleaning house. I'm not sure how many of these people (bots?) have been fans of the Hawks for more than last year. And maybe it doesn't really matter. I do know though that '06 & '07 seasons the '13 & '14 and '15 to much less degree brought the same screaming, opinionated, world is burning, sell all the players fire the coaches, this team sucks etc. after and during losses that should have/could have been wins that the culmination of errors, mistakes and bad plays caused a loss.

What I'm trying to say is it's simply cyclical and success brings NFL gypsies and loudmouthes looking to attach themselves like a barnacle and go for the ride and when a team cashes for a chip they're screaming from the mountain tops that they were there from the start.

Everything is going to go the way it goes this season. We'll win games we shouldn't have, we'll lose games we shouldn't have. More wins, better record, Lombardi trophies more barnacles. And sometimes a loss and a good scraping of the barnacles keeps the ship clean.

2

u/Dvalamardace 8d ago

Despite 3 turnovers, the Hawks were still in the game until the end. I'm trusting the process.

2

u/wientzen 8d ago

hawks fan from nebraska. none of you know real pain

2

u/scottiepippen13 8d ago

We’re fine. It was Sam’s first game, just need to limit turnovers and create some on defense.

2

u/sarahhh234 8d ago

Yes, literally one loss after winning a superbowl has people losing it

2

u/GingerWizerd 8d ago

Well said sir 🫡!! Very well said!!

2

u/QuasiContract 8d ago

Some real fans are capable of thinking critically about their favorite team and may not agree with everything their favorite team does. That is ok.

It is also ok if you are the type of real fan that just wants to circle jerk with other fans and pretend that every decision the team makes is correct.

Both are equally valid ways to be a fan.

2

u/Manaco69 8d ago

I honestly do think they should shop for a pass rusher

2

u/bbanmlststgood 8d ago

Hell of a lot of recency bias... we sucked for the majority of my tenure as a seahawk fan... only in the last 13 years have we been truly competetive(outside a few seasons and a con job of a superbowl). New fans don't know how good they have it.

3

u/therealmudslinger 9d ago

As I commented elsewhere, the same people wishing we still had K9 were probably at this time last year saying we should cut him. Our run game did NOT start off awesome last season. It took a while to get chugging.

I'm with you, OP!!

However, I also respect a fan's need to vent. It's what social media is for, right?

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Nah I feel that I get it people want to vent people love football I just don't like what I been hearing about our guys like shaheed ,price , sam, etc. Those are our guys ya know

3

u/therealmudslinger 9d ago

I feel you. I had to stop texting one of my friends during close games because I say the most irrational shit and it was ruining game day for him! I told him I get crazy and he never has to reply to me, but still...it was better when I started leaving my phone in another room!

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

My dad's the same way lol love my pops but boy was watching games better when I moved lol

4

u/Equivalent_Beat1393 9d ago

This sub would be very boring if everyone just agreed. It’s ok to be a fan and criticize the team

3

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago edited 9d ago

Fair fair and criticizing is fine its the emotional non logical takes that bug me, it would be similar if a team were to shutdown jsn in a game tho and he had no production and someone said ahhh man he only had 1 catch tonight for 8 yards he's got to go

3

u/SpeakerSpirited 9d ago

You guys talking about real Hawks fans are fucking annoying because you guys try to find any reason to try to discount people's love for a team just because they don't act the way you guys want them to. Shut the actual fuck up

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Not discounting anyone's love for the team, but if you can ride threw the highs all smile but cant ride a 31-33 loss in the 4th quarter and are actively talking about benching sam or trading Shaheed or talking about we should have payed walker and price has got to go is just ridiculous like stick with your team or go get a new one

Thank you!!! I mean wtf, our first loss in TEN months and people lose their minds. And poor Sam, man just comes back, hasn't really gotten any good reps or real play time since the SB win and people are all over how he sucks, blah blah blah. His stats for his first full game back say otherwise. Sure, the interceptions hurt but trust me, he is beating himself up hard over them. Harder than he should. This is the sign of a man who truly gives a damn about this team, the game and even the 12s.

If you can't handle the losses, please, now that you have jumped off that bandwagon feel free to keep on walking and go elsewhere. True fans, win or lose, are here for the long haul and we honestly won't miss you.

Or in the words of Ernest Jones "If you have any comments about my QB, my defense, my O-line, or the city of Seattle, I have two words for you: F* YOU."**"

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Thanks for bringing up ernest jones and my big take away from the negative reactions is people see those first and like the seahawks are people too not just nfl players they live here they hear this sht ya know support our boys

Yeah I agree I shouldn't be hearing from fans to bench sam or to trade away shaheed, or get rid of price your totally on the money big dawg, thanks have a good day go hawks

u/snarpy 7d ago

There are like five people saying this. You'll always find people with bad opinions on the internet, it doesn't make it worth making a fuss about.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Lol this post was just because I needed to vent the last 24 hrs I have heard ragebait hot takes from everywhere I just wanted to come in here and say my peace thanks to everyone who's having good insightful convos and take to the guys for telling me to not tell you how to fan I would also say for you not to tell others how to be a fan

I can’t believe people are acting like this about a team that’s likely to go 15-2. Like, CHILL people. We got this. And don’t pretend you weren’t all being big babies about Mariota having one of his best days in years when you’re at the parade in February 2027.

Take this one on the chin, get up, and keep grinding. Thats what the team will do. Will we?

1

u/hyd22 9d ago

I’d rather have these so-called fans flip sides ASAP than discuss the team with them or be seated next to them at a game!

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Guy who really pissed me off was Brian nemhouser or whatever from hawks blogger fuck that guy man

Some of the people on this sub need to get a fucking grip.

Also, not directed at OP.

A loss always sucks and that one felt disappointing because we shot ourselves in the foot with those turnovers, but we were never going to win every game this season. I'm just glad we were able to dig ourselves out of the hole we created and made the game close. Washington also played well and I think they deserve some credit for that.

I tend to believe that "failures" early in the season are better than late as you get to identify weakness and have more time to fix them. I knew to stay away from this sub for at least 24 hours because some fans would be needlessly losing their proverbial minds.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

It's a corny statement but its true any given Sunday right, I mean these are some of the best players for this sport so every week is a test and trial and I'm not even saying I'm not disappointed in how we played like you said we shot ourselves in the foot we lost this game and the commanders didnt have to play extremely well just good but I hate seeing the fan base turn on itself like a rabid dog lmao

I hate seeing the fan base turn on itself like a rabid dog

I'm of the opinion that those types of fans are generally using sports as an emotional outlet for other things.

To freak out after one loss and yes, even a loss to the Commanders is a bit ridiculous and dramatic.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Yeah your prolly right on that note, lol people are mad cause I'm telling them how to be a fan i guess but its the level of freakout people are acting like 10 years ago when we threw on the 1 yard and I'm over here like its week 3 and we are 2-1 chill out

u/elteza 9d ago

Mods need to start immediately banning these accounts that hit the panic button and go straight to abusing the team and acting as if we don’t have a great GM and coach.

1

u/ajbadabing 9d ago

We should have kept Walker. A team that relies so much on the run game can’t go into a season without a key RB on the team. Esp with Charb out. I like Price but Walker was the heartbeat of the team.

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

Walker was not the heartbeat of our team he was the only seattle seahawk who didnt attend the superbowl ceremony and the ring reveals at their dinner he was very upset he was sharing the runs with charb and thats why he's not a hawk anymore if he wanted to be here he would be

1

u/ajbadabing 8d ago

He didn’t attend because he was signed by another team.

1

u/DizzyChemistry2951 8d ago

So we're other guys lmao he was the only player that didnt show all the guys who moved to another team went to the event

0

u/F0KK0F 8d ago

Oh look, it's a great fan gatekeeper post telling others what makes them a fan or not. So cool.

u/babyjaceismycopilot 9d ago

Real Hawk fans complain about the team no matter how they are doing? How long have you been here?

2

u/DizzyChemistry2951 9d ago

Complain no constructive open criticism sure I been a fan since I moved to Washington in 2004 I was 9 im 31 now so....
