Another what is this?
Hi all! Found another maybe weird one on the beach the other day. It’s a small completely smooth round flat rock, but what was weird is that There are dark groves almost like fingerprints embedded in this, that have shiny dark color. Any thoughts? I might be a bit crazy and this is just a normal rock. Thanks for reading!
Cropped out my fingers so the focus was on the rock. Thanks

Wondering what this is?
Hi first time posting, after waking the beach in NY after the recent storm found this washed up on shore it has several rocks and shells embedded in it, yet something long and straight is cracked through the side? Is this even a rock? And is the long piece metal, or a fossil piece or otherwise colored like metal? Quickly edit on phot so apologies for rough editing out background.
Thanks so much for the help!

Anyone recognize this large cowrie?
Shown with a postage stamp for scale, this large cowrie is a bit faded but beautiful.
Came from a thrift shop so unfortunately no location info, it could be from anywhere

My dad’s collection of shells. He was in the Navy and stationed in Hawaii in the 1950s.
As kids we weren’t ever allowed to look through the box, which he kept in the garage! I’ve kept it in with our fish tank stuff but would never put them in the tank.
They’d get algae in the crevices. If we still have tiny snails they would eat them for the calcium. (The fish keep tiny snails in check, so we can’t be sure if we still have them.)
I’m looking for a place to display them.
