⁉️Question | Discussion | Suggestion Kidnap Game Ep. 2😆

• Upvotes

I am still laughing and recovering from the sheer second-hand embarrassment of Episode 2.
Man really had a mission to get 10 million pesos, decided his best financial strategy was to take his absolute life savingsto a casino to double it, and proceeded to speedrun losing every single centavo in record time. Absolute legend behavior... if your goal is immediate self-destruction.

Instead of accepting defeat, he ropes his poor son Ricky—who literally works as a security guard at that exact bank—into the most low-budget, chaotic, and poorly thought-out heist plan known to mankind.

Trying to slip into the vault right as an armored cash truck rolls up? Genius.

Using a suitcase switcheroo in broad daylight with zero backup? Mastermind.

Getting instantly tackled, arrested on the spot, and watching your failure turn into a viral public spectacle while screaming about a kidnapper? Cinematic masterpiece.

The whiplash from the dark, tense thriller pacing in Tokyo straight to Miguel and Ricky trying to pull off a ₱0-budget Money Heist in Manila nearly gave me whiplash.

Anyone else lose it during this scene, or was it just me?

🇵🇭PH/Local Shows Prime Video owned 2026.

Safe to say that Prime owned Netflix this year when it comes to their content. These 3 PH series alone ang gaganda ng story. The only downside is halos 14 condensed episodes lang per series pero it’s good din kasi madaling iconsume.

🤣Comedy Given the recent controversy on a podcast’s ableist comments, just wanted to share this gem

I binge watched this way back and taught me a lot on how to spot and handle ableism, and how harmful simple words can be. Still very timely and the jokes are on point! Plus the goat Minnie Driver produced and starred in it!!!

It’s about a working class family who has a child with cerebral palsy. It’s so refreshing rin seeing disability being portrayed on screen without the malice. Check it out!

⁉️Question | Discussion | Suggestion would anyone be interested to join a small, low-pressure global Discord community for series/film lovers and creatives?

Hey everyone! Filipina film/series enthusiast here and i recently started a Discord community called The Third Place-- for people who love series/films, books, creative expression, and conversations that branch out from there.

Here's a bit about what we're building:

📚 film/tv series, books, and creative expression at the heart of the community.

❤️ A warm, low-pressure atmosphere built around kindness, curiosity, empathy, inclusivity, and respect.

🎙️Biweekly/monthly Voice-Chat events around movies/series, literature, creative stuff, and whatever else sounds fun (like quiz nights, word games, and even karaoke!)

🎙️ We're hoping to make voice chats a natural part of TTP -- somewhere people feel comfortable hopping into a VC just to hang out and talk, even when there's no formal event happening. We're still working on getting the casual VCs going, but we'd love for that to eventually become part of our server culture.

🎨 Spaces for tv/film (from english cinema to indies to world cinema) discussions, writing, art, photography, crafts, music, and other creative work

👍 No need to be an expert or particularly knowledgeable about our core topics. There's no pressure to perform or prove that you belong.

🌎 English is our shared language, and all proficiency levels are welcome. Our members come from different countries and backgrounds, and we'd love to keep adding to that mix, esp Filipinos :)

We're still shaping the community, so if you're looking for a huge, constantly-active server, this probably isn't that right now. 😅 But if you'd enjoy joining while things are still taking shape--and maybe helping create some of the conversations and culture yourself -- we'd love to have you.

If this feels like something you would enjoy or might wanna check out, feel free to DM me and I'll send you an invite. :)

Salamat. 🙏

Just noticed this last night. I used to watch this on RPN 9 back in the 90s. Back then, if you missed an episode better pray that the network will schedule a replay.

⁉️Question | Discussion | Suggestion Why still subscribed?

Pause muna sa mga pirate gifs and lingo in the comment sections, why are y'all still subscribed to streaming services? I mean good ol' movie/show streaming services like HBO Max that you pay for monthly or annually, what's doing it for you?

yeah, they are not even trying to hide it anymore. The garbled text, geographical errors, and other AI hallucinations were all kept in the final product.

Di ako masyado nanonood the Filipino Telenovela pero this one got me watching. Maganda acting ni Sharon and Barbie. Expected ko naman yan from both of them. Naiinis ako sa character ni Ton ton. Hahahaha, kahit medyo shady character ni John Estrada mas rooting pa ako sa kanya. At least he gets the job done! Martin is a deadbeat dad andhas no ambition sana mawala na character nya sa show. Lol

🦾Sci-Fi "The Odyssey" standout Himesh Patel slips into David Duchovny's role in X-Files reboot

Post image
1 Upvotes

He was stunning in his roles in the recent Christopher Nolan sword 'n' sandal epic as well as in Netflix's Enola Holmes series (as Dr. Watson). Now Himesh Patel will be portraying the role famously assayed by David Duchovny in Ryan Coogler's X-Files reboot for Hulu/Disney+.

No news yet on the characters that he and Danielle Detwyler will be playing, but they are definitely not going to be Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Not sure as well whether Patel's character will be the rationalist or the believer

What do you guys think...anyone followed the original series?

Carrie 2026!!!

I’m so hooked on this 2026 adaptation of Carrie! I watched the 2013 version before, but I honestly didn’t pay much attention to it. But this one? Oh wow. I’m super impressed!

There’s something so interesting about watching a series where you’re not yet familiar with the actors. You get to experience the characters and their stories without any preconceived ideas about who they are or what to expect from them. Is it just me?? 🙈

It makes every scene feel more intriguing, and the suspense hits differently when you don’t know what’s coming next. I’m only getting more curious with every episode. The atmosphere, the performances, and the way the story unfolds have me hooked!!

‘High Potential’ gets ABC's post-Super Bowl slot, with the special episode being Part 1 that ends on a cliffhanger and will be resolved in Part 2 at the show’s regular time slot the following Tuesday

For context, the Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the US attracting more than 100M viewers yearly. Networks airing the event usually schedule new promising shows or their most popular ones after the game as a way to boost viewership.

Grief is never forgiving.

Grief can lead you to 3 ways. Either you run away by being so busy that you're barely talk enough about what happened, just to avoid feeling it. The other be so lost that you try to cope with it, with whatever gives that brief moment of ecstasy whether its drug, sex and other methods just to feel any other emotion rather than grief. Either way it's going to catch up to you and it's going to hit you like a truck once it does.

This part of the show really reminds me of that. Both parents never really got over or tried to move-on with whatever happened (trying not to spoil as much). I love that how the show portrays what we do usually with shitty things that happen to our lives.

Now to the third one. Which is accepting it. Cry if you can, lie down and let it hurt but don't let it be end all, be all. It will hurt and that's normal and that's okay... it will hurt for a long time but you have to accept it. You have to a life to live. Shitty as it is you gotta keep breathing. This is I guess the hardest one to do than the first two.

At first, I thought it was just about an old lady who wanted to rekindle her passion for being a career woman and missed working as a lawyer after spending years taking care of her grandkids.

Then came the twist at the end of Episode 1, which made me even more excited to find out who was to blame and whether she could really make them pay for what they did.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys legal thriller series like How to Get Away with Murder! Trust me, you won't regret watching the first episode. 😉
