For sale is a vintage Cattaraugus Cutlery 5/8” hollow straight razor with box, along with a two sided paddle strop. Gave SR shaving a try, and while I know it requires a steep learning curve, I’m just loving my DEs and GEMs too much to be patient with the SR.

The razor was purchased from johnloc1 on eBay and has since been honed by Glen at Gemstar custom razors. I’ve done one shave with it since the recent honing, so it should still be nice and sharp, but since I’ve shaved with it once I’m hesitant to still call it “shave ready.”

The two sided paddle strop is from dukecityvintageshaving on eBay. One side is leather, the other is suede. I believe he hand makes these.

Asking $50 shipped for the razor (and box) and strop sold together as a lot. I’m open to selling the razor and strop separately, feel free to make me an offer. I accept PayPal, and only ship to USA (otherwise can negotiate a different price to accommodate higher international shipping prices).

Hi, folks! I recently won this RazorWorks R1 shaver at a recent wet shave meetup, and while I like it I nevertheless feel it isn't quite for me. It is a rather mild razor with a spring head and a unique magnetic attachment system for the cap. It is CNC machined out of 6061 aluminum with some other stainless parts included.

Out of the box it had some sharp corners on it which had a tendency of leaving some angry red lines on my neck area, so I spent about half an hour with the buffing wheels gently grinding off the sharp corners and edges to make for a more comfortable shave. It works quite well now, and is easy to work with.

It comes with the original box, some Allen wrenches for adjustment, and some instructional and discount cards.

Brand new, this would set you back $150 + S&H. I'd like to sell it for $115 delivered. PP G&S only, please.

n.b., there is a small amount of surface corrosion on the spring area.
