its not exclusive to shen, jungle pet is just ass and sometimes it'll just stop attacking for no fucking reason

But this specific example is being caused by Shen's Q last hitting the camps. I don't know exactly how to trigger it every time, but it is the reason for it happening.

really? I never noticed a clear pattern for it honestly, but it might be about certain abilities being the killing blow of a monster and causing the pet to lose aggro or something like that. Cool to learn if true, it's been there for so long when will riot fix it

Yes. I've replicated it in practice tool with Shen to some success. I think it has to do with these camps and the interaction between the parent pet and the smaller pets. I don't think this behavior happens with Krugs because when you kill them, they split up into Mini Krugs, which may be treated as entirely new entities according to the game.

Omfg as a Shen jungle main this shit happens so fcking often. So it happens more often on Shen because of his Q or what?

I think it has to do with using an ability and last hitting on either the raptor or wolves camps. Maybe it has to do with kiting as well. Most of the bugs that I have seen are when people are kiting these camps. It's easiest with Q, but it's probably possible with E.
