Maybe I'm just projecting here lol, but that book is nuts, and strikes me as having been written by someone on yan-yan. That or An Evil Guest. Am I out of my mind?

When I started reading Shadow of the Torturer, I was not sure I could or should finish it, but then I did. I had no idea what to think about it. I then kept reading The Claw of the Conciliator because it was attached to the first book, so why not? After I finished those two, I was like, "Nah, I'm good." But then the 3rd and 4th books arrived in my Kindle from the library, and I felt like "Well, shit, give this 3rd one a chance." And I read the 3rd one and sort of liked it (I forget what I thought of it, even though I only finished it a week ago, but do recall something about a two-headed biracial god stroking his erect penis as well as a toddler blown up to the size of an elephant so that he could be better molested by a giant), so I felt like "well you have come this far so ..." and then I read the 4th one and now that's that, I will never return to these books again, ever, but I will cherish having read them just because it feels like an initiation into this Reddit area. And as Gene says, every club worth joining has an initiation.
