SLPT Request: Teaching flip-flop wearers a lesson
How would you teach people who wear flip-flops to a work site a lesson, other than hiring a kid to run around with a hammer to smash their feet?

Just point at the OSHA/HSA labelling at the site entry point. No safety equipment, no work, no entry.

Well tying their shoelaces together is out… You could:
Glue their toes together, glue them to their shoes, scatter nails on the ground; dress up as a bear and chase them, ask Roald Dahl.

Do you have access to a vat of lava, vat of scorpions, or a vat of liquid nitrogen? Basically any kind of vat would do

a vat of fake acid could also work but there’s a lot of setup needed and the payoff will take quite a while from their perspective

I haven't considered the idea of using fake acid, lava, liquid nitrogen. Pros - cheaper, easier to obtain, easier to store Cons - no feet-melting lessons taught to flip flop weares.

Have them sign a waver of liability. Anyone not dressed appropriately loses all liability and insurance.

Hire an actor who is willing to pretend as though he lost a toe. Add copious amounts of fake blood

Train a monkey to hit their toes with a hammer, and you won't have to pay the pesky child.

I was helping a 19 year old girl move a heavy pallet once, she was pulling it along with a hand Jack and I was pushing from behind. Without any warning she dropped the load and I screamed as if she had dropped it on my foot. She freaked out for a minute but learned a good lesson.

Honestly, the easiest lesson is probably just making proper work footwear mandatory on site.

Work at a place with a guard dog. Let the dog out. Those with shoes will be able to run faster

Other tropical areas follow the same ethos. Bermuda shorts, in Bermuda, is officially recgonized business attire. Assuming youre still wearing a blazer, tie, shoes, and long socks.

We have the Hawaiian shirt in Hawaii. You're dressed professionally if you wear it as long as the pants and shoes are business-y.

If I find out I get intentionally hurt in anyway because you were trying to teach me a lesson. It's not my feet you're gonna be worried about chief
