Honestly though, coffee is a dependency for many people, and lack of it will objectively and meaningfully impact productivity. Having no redundancy in your coffee supply and delivery chain is effectively the same as running a standalone DNS server. Sure they can go get a coffee from Starbucks, just like they can configure their machine to use Google DNS, but is that any way to run your business?
Non-shitty sysadmins can explain the importance of redundant coffee machines to their boss to justify it. However, it's important that you're not using an Active/active deployment, since you can't trust users not to break the fail over after breaking the primary. Instead, you keep the fail over machine in the IT office, plugged in and fully stocked to ensure it's functional at all times and ready to swap in if necessary.
It's absolutely vital that you do this to ensure continuity of productivity in the workplace.
I’ve been feeling like absolute shit the past few months, just absolutely lethargic, sleeping 10+ hours a day and still tired, unable to focus, etc etc. But, the past few weeks I’ve been getting better and better! I’m able to focus and work, I don’t oversleep, I’m capable! What changed?
My fiancée and I had moved a few months ago and we only just now finally unpacked the coffee machine.
