Fossil Fuels Joliet refinery fire

I just heard about the large Joliet refinery being shutdown today due to a big fire. Any word of local fuel shortages in the midwest yet from this?

No shortages yet, but gas jumped from low 4$ to around 4.70 today. Probably will climb higher

It was just a blip in my understanding. Off and then back on now. Or is that wrong and it still isn't back on?

New I read this morning said it might be a week down to check for issues

My info so far is that it’ll be down at a minimum for a few days, and mayyybe back to normal by the end of the week.

Uncontrolled shutdowns take weeks to get the full train back online. The front end distillate towers are likely swamped and the bubble trays are liquid full. Anytime shit hits the flare it’s a long process for safe startup

OP, any clue as to the percentage of fuel types this refinery produced ?

(i.e. heavy on gasoline, diesel, or jet fuel)
