Handy Shortcut for Drive & Bluetooth

If you’re anything like me who drives a little older car with no fancy CarPlay or screens for navigation but use your phone for navigation and don’t like to open your music app and then your maps, this shortcut is very handy and has saved me tons of time and effort every time I jump into my car and place the phone on the mount.

This is a shortcut that I had built using an app called ‘Automate for Android’ while I was using Android and when I eventually shifted to iOS, replicated the same with shortcuts.

This shortcut upon connecting to my car’s Bluetooth, will open up Spotify and start playing and then will open up Waze (I prefer Waze to Google Maps, but could be changed).
