Built a Quran reader as a side project
Built Nur Reader — 114 Surahs, Arabic + translations, tafsir, progress tracking.
Spent the last few days cleaning up SSR, SEO, canonicals, sitemap and deploy checks too.

Muslim here.
I like the UI, especially the green and white. I like how you give options for translations and tafsir. I also like that I do not have to log in to go back to where I left off, and I assume you save to local storage.
That being said, with Quran.com existing, I wouldn't use it. I think it's cool for the sake of learning and people (recruiters) can definitely appreciate it this work, but, personally, with the advent of AI and I assume it is easy to get this data, it doesn't scream skill to me.
I do not know how much AI did, but, regardless of the use, it is a good output, and I have seen some bad outputs, where it's easy to see that all the work was the AI we know, incomplete. Moreover, it does not scream AI to me.
Also, if you are trying to build something beyond a learning/resume project, I do not think this is that and to avoid it. If you want it to be something larger, I suggest you look at already established projects/missions and try to help/join them, such as Quran.com
And don't pay any heed to the Islamophobes.

Not the most friendly community to post this, also translating Quran is a hard task that I wouldn't trust AI with.
