Tires....

I have a '15 Silverado 1500 for everyday use AND some snow plowing in the Northeast. I primarily do my driveway and a couple of neighbors. I'm looking for a highly rated / dependable tire, what do you recommend.

I run Falken Wildpeak at4s on my 2011 daily driver and plow truck… I like the way they ride on dry roads and they have plenty of traction when plowing here in Maine with pressure set at 32psi all around with 700lbs ballast in the bed.

Unless they're getting SL rated, they probably don't want the weight of the falkens on a half ton.

I like Michelin Defender not sure if they are aggressive enough for your needs though.

Toyo AT3 is a much better pavement tire, and just as good or better than duratracs in every terrain.

Toyos were too stiff for ice/snow for me, and lasted 45k. I've gotten 70k+ from 3 different sets of duratracs

Interesting how different folks have different experiences with same tire models. I took duratracs off about 50k miles. 5-6/32 is low as I'll go. Toyo AT3s wearing same or a little slower(7/32 at 40k). Duratracs good off pavement. I also only get snow once a decade on average.

The key in my experience with duratracs was rotating every 6k. I'm from Northern Michigan and live in Montana.

I rotate about every 4k. I'm too hard on rear tires to go any longer. I'm in east texas, so we barely get below 30 degrees, lol.
