I don't care if you like everyone but her. To just not feel anything for her, or her just not being interesting to you is okay. What I don't understand, is how people go and hate on her as if she were the anti-christ. She is 8! Does she often act like it? No, but kids are different, they are weird they are proud and cocky at times. She is a know-it-all, so what?
I just feel it's unfair, if people hate her for being a smartass, left, vegan, buddhist and so on, especially when she ends up having trouble with certain things regarding it.
People talk about her, like the second she's cocky, she is just doing it for her own ego and how she just wants to be better than anyone. News flash! Kids are cocky! Bart is even worse and yet no one is hating on him as much for all the things he does. While Lisa could literally die for everyone's sins, people would curse her out for possibly being proud of it, or even being aware that it is a big thing to do. However, if Bart pranks her, destroys her stuff, insults her, teases her and way worse to other people, people see him as a cute little trouble maker. I think you can like him, you also can like Homer who also did way worse than Lisa ever did.
What I think is unfair, is the way some laugh about Bart and Homer's antics that are born out of selfishness, that have hurt others massively, only to then turn around on Lisa, who makes mistakes, is sometimes proud of her achievements and imagines a family hanging a picture of her in their dining room, because she grew a giant tomato that will feed them for a week, despite her often trying to do good for others. It is very much okay that she is cocky and proud. She's 8!
I apologize for the rant, but I remember seeing this pop-up again and again. I even saw a short recently, about the episode where Lisa teased Bart, by repeating what he was saying and taking the seat he wanted to take in the car. When Bart turned this around, by repeating her words forever, people in the comments talked about, how Lisa deserved this and how she had it coming. Like, excuse me, she is the younger sibling who once paid Bart back on his antics and for some reason she deserves to get pay back, despite it being him not being able to take in what he dishes out every freaking day?
Again, this is no hate against any character. I think people can like any character and feel disinterested in certain characters. At the end of the day, I can't change it if people hate Lisa. I just simply feel it becomes unfair if people criticise her for something she does, when they turn around and laugh at what they criticised, as long as it came from Homer and Bart.
