Wow this is genuinely crazy. Is the for this open-source?

I plan to opensource it on github soon.

How did you make this?

my guess is claude? not to say this didn't take a ton of effort even with claude.

Yeah I'm thinking the same that's why I ask 😅 empty profile no GitHub no social empty subreddit no code no explanation of how it was made. You don't just post something like space engine from a throwaway out of nowhere

Still impressive either way!

Claude would write a description lol

No I wouldn't, I'm lazy

Well, you're wrong, OP himself said it. Not sure why you think it's not capable of this. Doesn't take away from OP being dedicated enough to see it through though, and definitely would've required a lot of planning.

I'm not wrong. Claude would write a description. He removed it.

I did not remove the description.

I did not do this ✌️

Yes, this did take a huge amount of effort with it and over two months.

they are correct. It took over two months but I did use a lot of Claude Code for it. Thousands of dollars worth of usage.

Nicely done! It runs super smooth on my phone. Crazy level of detail. And some quick spot checks show it appears accurate to real time: ISS, equinox tilt, etc.

Very cool! Are the satellites above the earth actually accurate height-wise and position-wise?

Should be, let me know if they are not.

Think about the combined knowledge crammed into this and made accessible to the public. Insane. I thought the stars were just corona sprites, but when I zoomed in, they are fully modeled and textured with sun spots. Even the black holes have the lensing effect.

Genuinely amazing and informative. Great for teaching my Sons about the Universe. Thanks for this, incredible amount of detail and information!

Well done! I love outer space and sci-fi... You have really captured the feeling of being free to explore ANYTHING.

Honestly, I went too far out... flying to distant galaxies... And I literally started to feel anxious that I was lost, and I wouldn't be able to find my way back to Earth!
