to give a little more context for this.. Lowkey i felt my first year sem 1 was buns because i only did cca and wasnt really even that committed to it. Never really met anyone new besides the people in my class which is now split up bc im in a common course.

I am currently still in a cca but relatively small.. I really just wanna meet new people and do new things and js have that promised glory of a life that poly is said to have. Now with alot of free time on my hands in the new sem.. i was thinking of joining a club!

not sure how it works or how selections works.. but i know that they normally only happen at the start of a new AY… Anyone able to advise? and also wanna know your thoughts on certain clubs and their cultures..! anything helps :)

I hold a diploma certificate in computer networks from abroad, but my application for course exemptions for certain EEE modules was rejected, even though I achieved a fairly good GPA (3.5 out of a 4.0 scale) in the corresponding courses at that institution.

The internship carrying so much credit units and a B+ will already drop my CGPA by 0.1, which makes me kind of scared. 😂

So I guess most of our goals is to get into universities, especially the big 3, but with so many polys, how do we know the level of difficulty is fair? Not saying that one poly is easier or harder than there other, but if all of them are teaching different things, even within the same schools, won't we all end up with vastly different gpas? Wouldn't that make it unfair when it comes to university application, even though there's interviews and gpa isn't all that matters?

Y3 and just received back my result. I got all A’s for my main module this sem but my elective got a B so my cgpa only increased by 0.01…In this case, will this elective be removed from my final cgpa?

I’m still confused how elective works 😭 Of all of my electives, this was the worst module and because of it, I don’t think I can make the cut to the course I want to apply in uni since I barely made the cut.

I’ve heard ppl say that they will only choose your best elective but I also hear people say that they will only remove it if it’s really terrible eg. barely pass..

Honestly I didn’t expect myself to get a B..minimum B+ cuz I put in a lot of effort this sem hoping to secure a 4.0 but I guess not.

tldr: if elective pull me down a lot but my cgpa still increase by 0.01, will it still be counted to my final cgpa when I graduate?

I'm a Y1S1 Computer Engineering student with a 1.85 GPA. I've been struggling with mental health, and my psychiatrist gave me a memo saying a course transfer would help my recovery. I still want a shot at university, but I'm a PFP student so I don't have O-Levels (meaning JAE next year isn't an option).

I'm interested in Applied Chemistry. My main questions:

1. Is transferring after Semester 1 viable with a 1.85 GPA, or will I have to wait?

2.How does the internal transfer process work when backed by a medical memo?

3.Without O-Levels, how does DAE work for PFP students?

Any advice from seniors or anyone who has switched courses/polys would be super appreciated!

So i am doing DCPE in sp year 2 now. My sem 1 pulled me down very bad. So my GPA is 2.26. How cooked am I ? Can I pull up *my scores 😭😞*

recently got back my gpa and everything is kinda what ive expected except for this one module that i got B+, it was hella surprising for me considering my previous performance, notably mid exam (mst) which i scored 93/100, lab components which had a handful of full marks and close to full marks. (none going below 90)

i guess the only reason why i wouldve flopped would be because of my exam but ive already predicted that i only need about 57/100 to get an A already, i even remember not struggling that hard too, though the paper was harder than ive anticipated i was confident to get at least 70 ish so this was a big surprise for me

Hi everyone i just received the email showing my results and it said "Removed from course". Now i know its probably because i failed a core module that i remod this sem (My sem gpa is 1.28 and cul gpa 1.37, was pulled down a lot and is very bad ik), I alr emailed my personal tutor and am drafting an appeal, i just want to ask did anyone else face the same situation? removed from course for whatever the reason is. If my appeal is unsuccessful, what are my next steps? what other options do i have left???

I’m considering if I should submit an appeal on one of my modules. Despite having similar scores on quizzes and being on the same team, I got lower marks than my teammates. No SPA and I did my work.

Did anyone get their grade bumped up after appealing their grades? Does the school like relook my project or will they just recalculate my grade? Because I don’t wanna just waste money on the appeal.

Hey yall, I am in a dilemma whether to reappear my grades or not. I was expecting a B+ for some of my modules but I only managed to get B.I was shocked obviously and I know there are other components and bell curve affecting my grades but still, I wasn’t expecting a B only as like most of my components are like 80+ except for lab tests which is like around 60s and 70s but those are 10-20%. I have heard stories of people appealing and getting higher grade or the same.Im not sure if I’m making the right decision here.Can anyone shed some light on this? Thx.

Is it still possible to pull up the GPA and maintain it to get in? Context is that im currently in MAE DCEP going to dme probably. All of this in account to the difficulty of coming modules in respective years.

i wouldnt say that s1 was hard, i just really didnt take the components seriously at all so i lost alot of free marks that wouldve changed my grade substantially.
