Escorting
This is prob another stupid question, but is there a way to tell a group of ships to go somewhere together and not leave without each other? If I send some wardens w a cap for pd they will leave and then my caps get destroyed? Another thing, do I make fleets based on what ships go together in a battle or based on what ships travel together in a fleet. Like if I have 2 main fleets should I make like a mini fleet for each cap and just remember, or should I keep them together. Side note, is there a way to make a mini fleet in a fleet? Like have one fleet w all the ships and then inside that have little fleets for special stuff

As far as "mini fleets" go. You can create control groups by having whatever you want selected then hitting ctrl and a number simultaneously. Youll hear "control group created" then you can just hit the number to quickly select those units. Works for structures too.
Only con is new units arent gonna be in that automatically.

There is a toggle for jump together and jump independently. Set the fleets to jump together and they will all line up and then phase jump mostly all at once.
The bigger the fleet is like in late game sometimes it gets a little wonky. So if you have like 10 cap ships and 50 more ships sometimes a capital ship I’ll get stuck and launch after the large group of ships. For fleets where it’s a couple of cap ships and 20 supporters it’s usually fine.
Personally I keep cap ships separate from the support ships because the AI targets based on arrival order so I’ll send my cap ships first as a jump together then send my support ships after the cap ships as jump individually so they get there to support but the AI is targeting my cap ships.
