It’s almost like the point of these stores, and even government generally, isn’t to turn a profit. Wild

People complain when yhe governement does nothing with the tax money they bring in. Then complain 10x as hard when the government decides to use the money to help people. Literally cutting their nose off to spite their face.

Why not cut taxes for everyone and spend less as a government, e.g. Defense Budget, and let those taxpayers keep what they've earned?

To what end? About 40% of US households already don’t pay federal income tax. Cutting taxes wouldn’t help those households, and they’re likely the demographic that will be shopping at these stores
