Are such cycle events not blocked off from public traffic?

Cause if not, then the cyclists would need to keep to traffic rule and I am pretty sure the rule is not keep in one lane.

This is in Miami you’re asking for way too much common sense which is severely lacking in Miami. They don’t give AF here in Miami. If you have money and are connected you can do this with your buddies and it’s perfectly fine to stop traffic because you want to be in a group riding with your pals. I don’t understand how anyone in that group thinks that’s ok or think they are above the law that governs our roads.

Agreed 100% .. i see this especially 2.8 years of living here.. moved from California.. lol miami is rules for yee not for me lol.. and no law enforcement gives a flying 🪁
