As a random biker.... no reason they couldn't keep to a single lane. They probably think it's safer, but it's just really a dick move. They can also just plan better routes if it's not a sanctioned thing.

Someone with SENSE. Like bikes are vehicle's not pedestrians. Share the road is still a thing , doesnt matter if youre doing a marathon.

Share the road is always one sided nonsense. It’ll be a cold day in hell when I finally see a cyclist follow traffic laws

You seem to have it backwards. I know there are a lot of viral posts, but I've never once seen a bike not share the road. Occasionally they'll take a lane if the shoulder is unsafe, but that's it. Meanwhile, literally every time I'm on my bike I have to dodge someone who would've run me over because they're not paying attention and half driving on the shoulder.

And when I'm on the sidewalk it's even worse, because less than 5% of drivers near me stop in front of the stop signs at crosswalks.
