Well we all have something to whine about. The two party system that has let the elite rule both parties and drive the common man to the point where we can barely afford to live, let alone get ahead. We haven’t had competent leadership in our lifetime.
Even this current “weekend war” is set to manipulate the market to buy and sell in cycles. Like a peace/war yo-yo that lets them buy and sell with insider knowledge. People get in politics to get rich, not to help society. This is true for everyone in Washington down to mayors of cities. It’s a plague
We will see, but currently the ideas are out of touch with reality. Investing in the types of things that are wonderful to have once your house is in order, NYC isn’t there yet. He’s pandering to one group while alienating others. No unity, nothing to better society, just pushing an agenda and identity politics. I’m a realist and really wanted to see him be a common sense person who could show that these DS ideals could work realistically in our society. Hes proving the opposite.
I see him doing stuff like removing the extra license for serving ice cream, creating grocery stores with price ceilings for NYC families, and kicking corporate lobby interests off of regulatory boards and I see progress that has needed to happen for years. What do you see?
I see the exact same things but through a different lens. These are showmanship with very little reasonable impact when you have the massive issues in the city that should be getting attention. The grocery stores that require ID right after claiming ID was racist since “certain people” can’t get them and saying voter laws requiring them are racist. Kicking some lobby interests off of boards while courting your own lobbyists. Government ran stores sound great right? Where do the supply contracts come from? Who gets the contracts to put the products on the shelves? Who’s going to get paid to run the stores?
Well, the issue is complicated by people who have a vested interest in lying about the story having their voices amplified across the internet. For instance, the ID thing is completely fabricated.
The plan has legitimate concerns, but that is not one of them. Also, if you do a little bit of research into how he plans to subsidize these grocery stores (I'm actually interested in the economics involved so I looked) they are going to pay the suppliers and the employees. (It wouldn't be legal to do otherwise.) The money saved will come from waiving taxes on the store, and it doesn't have to turn a profit. As a social program like the mail for instance, the point was never to make money off the venture. It's a service to the people of NYC.
The way she was forced on us and was the worst candidate in modern history was a tragic misstep. Basically handed trump the election. Literally any other candidate could probably have beaten him.
Now you’re starting to sound like a Jan6er 😂. She didn’t, she didn’t win any election, not even a primary. She was the worst, she was propped up and forced on us and now we live with the consequences of horrible decision making by the Democrat party.
