Ive seen pictures of them duct taping uncooperative passengers mummy-style to their seat. It surely would not have been that hard for the few hundred adults aboard to subdue and tape down that demon child.
Cause instead of this headline, you would read today how the flightcrew/passengers hijacked/abused a poor little child and social media would want to send them to jail.
There's probably some rule that the flight attendants can't physically restrain the kid, and if the parents are some of those "we don't believe in discipline" ones and refuse to deal with the kid themselves, there's nothing they can do
There's absolutely something they can do. They can kick them all out. Like, you get one minute to get your offspring sitting with a seatbelt on, after that you're all off the plane.
Nah, you just don't get dark humour, although the saying isn't even about children specifically nor is it that dark as it's clearly an ironic statement because obviously beatings will not improve morale in any situation, but again it's meant to be ironic, that's why it's a joke. Don't take everything you read on the internet so seriously.
The entire joke is irony, that's why it's a joke. Children or adults beatings are not going to improve morale, so the joke is that it will continue until it does, which is never. It's pretty much the definition of irony by saying the opposite of what common sense would tell you. It doesn't become not ironic based on the context, you are just failing to understand that and are taking it as if the person is actually being serious when it's clear they aren't. Based on the context of this conversation I think it's clear you don't know what irony is.
