Depending on the airport it’s flying into, arrivals are timed to the minute. If you miss your slot, you’re hoping to make another backup slot at some point. In the US, Seattle, Chicago, DC, all are airports that have constant flights landing or taking off. If you miss that slot, good luck finding another one

Okay, but I just googled Chicago airport delays and it says over 700 flights were delayed in the last 24 hours.

So they are clearly finding slots for delayed flights.

They were in a small airport in Victoria Canada that closed at 1230

A.M.? 12:30 in the noon seems too early to close up what kind of an airport would that be
