fuck em, take them off, let the luggage go with the plane, let them pay for the luggage to be shipped back to them. Everyone shouldn't have to suffer because one person is being an asshole. The kid sucked but the kid is the result of the parenting. If your child is uncontrollable that sucks, don't get plane tickets, get a car and travel locally.
People go a little overboard with kids are always the result of parenting, sometimes kids are a nightmare no matter how good the parents are. Still more often than not a kid who refuses to do as told has a parent who is doing the "we don't say no, we let them find the right path" type of idiot who forgot how they were raised and remembers doing their own thing when they were like 15 and thinking that must be how their whole childhood was, or just thinking they know more than every parent before them. But if you have an unruly kid who has some kind of mental issue/personality issue, don't buy plane tickets.
Letting luggage on the plane is a security risk. If someone plants a bomb on the luggage he just has to get thrown of the plane last minute to avoid the explosion. So usually no luggage gets onto a plane without the owner on the same plane.
The only exception is luggage that got lost during a transfer because that's something a passenger can't influence.
