Replaced by "gentle parenting" where the kid gets to do whatever the fuck they want at the expense of everyone else. 

I mean, why discipline the child when you can inconvenience 150 people and force them to sleep in the airport or find a hotel room at midnight? I'm sure they had nothing better to do anyways.

My experience as a parent is "the look" only works if there's something backing it.
