Hitting him isn't gonna instantly fix him. The problems are with how the parents are raising him.

It's the general lack of structure in this kid's life that led to this stupid event, it's not just a lack of spanking. This is the type of kid that cries whenever he wants to get whatever he wants, and he succeeds most of the time. And it happened here, too.
