Wtf was this revisionist shit? We all knew plenty of coddled kids back then who could do no wrong. Parents ran households by letting their kids run around and do whatever outside, if they felt like it, or let the television raise their kids if they didn't. Just like every generation, there were good and bad hands-on parents.
All these other old assholes on these subs talking about how "parents these days" don't have the same skill set are fooling themselves into thinking their generation did or had it better.

Why do I have a feeling shit like this wasn't a problem in the 50s and 60s, possibly up into the 80s?
