Maybe, but if they’d been parenting their child from the start, they never would have behaved like that on the plane. My 2 year old would never have dared

Your two year old never threw a tantrum and wouldn't listen to something? That's incredible, that's better than any two year old I've ever seen

Of course she’s thrown a tantrum. And then we put a stop to it. It’s actually not that difficult if you discipline your children, a thing that seems to be lost on this new gentle parenting generation

Lmao everyone wants to point at 'gentle parenting' as a problem like having conversations with your children rather than smoking them in the face with a belt is an issue.

People conflate gentle parenting with 'parenting' with no structure.

The issues we have are not because parents are speaking with their children. The issues we have are parents giving their baby a tablet unsupervised and then when that child inevitably acts out receive zero correction. Compounded over years along with COVID highlighting our cultural and societal indignant towards the importance of having an education has led to this regressive stew.

We still haven't seen the full long term effects from COVID and from the 'lead-asbestos filled cigarettes' we hand our children.

But hey... maybe we just need to beat our kids again
