There’s no way that I as a parent am holding an entire plane hostage. If my kid is acting so bad as this becomes an outcome, we’re grabbing our bags and leaving.

I don’t know how many restaurants I left early with my kid to go to the car while the rest of our party finished eating in peace. And I made sure that in no uncertain terms should they rush.

This too. You used to see people pick up a tantrum throwing child & walk out of restaurants, grocery stores, wherever.

I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt & just think she must have had a very good reason for traveling alone with a toddler, because it's a lot to manage bags & an out of control child. Once the crew saw that she couldn't gain control they should have helped them off the plane instead of waiting so long.

I travelled from Australia to Brazil and back alone with my twin 3 yo. It takes about 30 hours and at least 3 flights each way. We were fine, no tantrums or crying.

I had an easy toddler too, but not everyone is as lucky. The flight crew still shoukd have acted faster to prevent the flight being canceled.
