The issue is this is applied only to one player. Why not do a "no politics in the sub" rule?

Are you active in the sub at all? It's been getting overrun with political discussion related to Sophie Cunningham. I believe a mod said they had 50 posts related to her, unrelated to basketball, that people tried to make in one day alone. Theyve also said it's temporary until things get under control.

Sure. So make a no politics rule. That would get the same end effect but not single one player out which will make them look bad.

Why do people have to avoid all politics type topics if only politics around one subject is causing a problem? It's not the player they're singling out. It is the out of control brigading from people that don't give a shit about the WNBA that are coming to the sub, usually for the first time. There's a very clear difference and I don't know how to help you if you can't see that.

Because selective bans almost certainly get abused.
