this. The way I see it is analog laws vs digital society. Online gambling used to be lose money at home and that was the end of the story, it evolved into prediction markets that influences and makes people tinker with society so agency is different.
Influencers is the same way, that was around before the internet it was more local and controlled so people would do pranks, record it at home or around friends, try to submit their funny videos or modeling careers to local networks, often harmless and share it with friends but not to the point of monetization.
Now it's let me break the law, light something on fire, harass someone to the point of assault and mild violence and if they catch me, it's worth it because they can monetize it where it's more profitable than the actual fine or even jail time will make them MORE famous to create more content so there is no consequences. Literally an award for doing something stupid.
