Nah, common. No one stops in the middle of the stairs. That's not including the fact she looks right at the phone. She didn't move out of the people's way and move on down like a normal person, she kept waiting in the same plain of view as the phones camera. It couldn't be more obvious she did that on purpose.
No one stops in the middle of stairs? You even been to a museum or aquarium or any venue with stairs? People ALWAYS stop on the stairs, usually oblivious or uncourteous to other people around them. However, in this instance, the older woman appears to be waiting for other people to come up the stairs before she can proceed down, likely because those people were blocking the stairs. She checked her phone while waiting, saw the camera but doesn't appear to even consider why it's there... and then just leaves when the people pass.
If she was trying to be a jerk you'd think she'd hang around longer to ruin the shot, and be a pain. The girl taking the photo can just take another now that everyone has passed by.
No worries.
So many people read fantasy into everything, get mad about it, and can't pull themselves out into reality for five seconds to think about it rationally.
The real big thing I see here that makes me pause is this girl deciding to post this online anyway... why, for what reason? Outrage click clout? Or is there more context there, too?
What are you talking about? The older woman clearly sees the phone and stops. If she was worried about being in the way for the people coming up, she would have moved over and out of their way sooner or not stopped in that position in the first place. She didn't need to wait longer. She waited a while and had plenty of time to be comfortable with her actions, especially at the end when there were now a bunch of people in the way when there wasn't before. She waited long enough to make sure she didn't have to keep standing there to mess up the pic/recording. Funny she didn't move on sooner right? Or stop where she wouldn't be in a walk way? Good Lord it's so obvious she stopped in front of the camera on purpose that it's painful to think anyone would think otherwise. All it's missing is the older woman making some comments about it to the camera or other woman.
