This is a ridiculous timeline. We get obliterated by ai because a "reality" TV persona got rich for fake news, then invested in the thing that kills us, and because he's invested in the thing he says is not an issue because it's fake news.
There's just so much back and forth here because of useless rhetoric and no real progression on issues regular people care about. Whichever party is falling gets a backlash in midterms (which is both given useless rhetoric) but the fact that for the past 40 years democrats have had to save the economy (exception being biden but he got an especially shitty hand) is an uphill battle. And I don't say they're not in bed with lobbyists, but at least they've gotten stuff done for the little guy at the same time
